Honestly that’s why I hate my current car, 21 Elantra, stock it comes with all the lane assist and brake sensor safety garbage, makes it to easy to drive with your brain off and promotes bad habits, I miss my 99 Sierra which had none of those things and the abs was broke on it, currently working on a 79 Chevrolet c30 dump truck with literally nothing on it but heat with a 4 speed in it, I can’t wait to be back in a vehicle that isn’t a mind numbing space ship.

@@ceperformance yessir it’s gonna be my around town driver and general work truck, will open up a lot of opportunities for me to do things like purchase metal working machinery (I am a machinist by trade) and just generally allow me to peruse a lot of projects that I’m currently unable to peruse. I’m also just tired of not having a truck, what most people complain about in such vehicles I see as enjoyable benefits 😂.

I'd rather drive a manual - there's enough dissociation (infotainment, blah blah blah) with driving built INTO cars that I prefer that one tether that still connects me to driving - don't want to drive?, take the bus.
