I've owned this backpack for 2 years now, and have never used those "claws" to feed the inner straps through. SMH! Thanks for pointing out ALL of the features of this awesome backpack! The front kangaroo pocket that you don't use is what I use to keep wipes, mints, and gum when flying. And I always ALWAYS have at least one packing cube in the main section that contains a change of clothes. Tip to those who are considering purchasing it - DON'T pay full price! This often goes on sale. Great overview video!

Great review! I use that front 'slash' pocket for my passport/ticket and everything I have to take off to go through security. As soon as I am through I move them inside the case. I always enjoy hearing how others use their case. :)

As of 8/21/23, the motherloads are 30% off. The code is on the website. I have the large size of the motherload backpack. And I absolutely hate those dumb compression straps. I am thinking of cutting them off. They always seem to be in the way. One thing to note: The big/wide carry/grab handle on the front of the bag can be a trolley sleeve. It's wide enough to fit over. But it is sort of awkward since it is at the bottom of the bag (especially the full sized motherload backpack. I just ordered the junior and hope it works a bit better.)

So where do you put your travel documents, wallet, etc? I notice this backpack doesn’t have an anti theft back pocket which would have been great for those items.

Nice bag BUT there’s no hip strap. I’ve learned that makes all the difference. Your shoulders won’t get sore if the weight is transferred to your hips.

I love mine! Except it is Heavy, empty! :/ And has no hip belt! That being said, I still love and use it.
