This week we travel to Noccundra a rural town and locality in the Shire of Bulloo in South West Queensland, Australia. The town was previously known as Nocundra. Prior to 2020 the locality was previously known as Nockatunga.
We camped beside the Wilson River and it was one of the hottest nights we have experienced.
We then moved on to Eromanga and visited the Eromanga Natural History Museum to learn all about #dinosaurs

You will find we are true and authentic people and our videos are not going to be perfect, you just get plain old Jon and Tracie

I think you are very smart protecting your and car. Had to laugh about the backing.it’s actually harder than it looks. Poor John. Loved the dinosaur place. Very interesting place the meal looked good as well. I think it’s great you are travelling out of season and giving an honest report on the conditions. It looks very harsh country out there stay safe. Thanks again for a great episode

Hi Tracie and Jon, what an entertaining video. That little tree is no more, and actually it looked a little dead anyway. Hope it didn't cause any damage to your caravan. The dinosaur museum looked very interesting, and it amazes me that they dig these artifacts up out of the ground. Your schnitzel, gravy and chips serving size were huge, and I wonder why they always make the portion size so large. Could you imagine your plate if you had a salad or veggies as well???!!! Tracie, can I please ask what is it about fruit and veggies that you don't like? I am very curious! The picture and sound quality are fine, however there was one point where you were in the wind which affected the sound, but you already warned us about that. Safe travels, and Jon watch out for those trees! 🌳🌳🌳 Blessings and love. Gloria 🌞❤

Hi Gloria Ok so when I was little I would vomit with fruit. I was a very sick kid and was forced to eat fruit every night (my parents were only doing what the doctor told them too). Alot of fruit it is the smell and texture that I just do not like. But my gastroenterologist says the acid in the fruit has alot to do with my intolerance too. Salads and veges I just dont like. Jon wasn't given much vegetables or salad as a kid but he ate lots of fruit and still does. We could not eat all of the pub meal and I agree, although it tastes good I wish they had smaller portions.

Fun to watch as we did that trip a few years back. I think that Eromanga is pronounced air-o-manga and not you-o-manga. At least that’s how we said it when I lived out at Augathella. Favourite memory is finding the public toilet in the middle of nowhere north of Noccundra.

Great informative episode again. Just a tip for you. The fold down legs on the back should face backwards. We were following another caravan and the leg fell down forward, let’s just say it wasn’t a good result.

Love that you tell us what camera you’re filming with, thank you. The DJI is much better quality in picture and sound than your Samsung. We have a GoPro Hero 8 and were thinking of upgrading to the 12 but have seen better reviews for the DJI. Please let us know if you’re happy with the DJI as you go. Great content guys, you go to so many places others don’t.

The DJI is doing a great job. Maybe you should upgrade your phone to the latest Samsung one. They can be good for that extra bit of footage with the zoom function. I seem to use my phone more than my Nikons these days, getting lazy I am. Hubby and I alway just buy one meal these days and share it, I could not eat a meal that big. Makes it a bit cheaper too. We also like Jon’s antics keep them up.

Yes we think one meal is going to be better for us now. Yesterday we went to a pub for lunch, bought a meal each but neither of us could finish it. Lesson will never be learnt lol. We are watching out for specials to get me a new Samsung ;) Thanks for watching 👀 and commenting

That wasn't a tree trust me😂. Sometimes a place can be underwhelming but those little towns were once much larger thriving communities. Once the trains stopped services in those small remote places the towns unfortunately often died or died back and usually only left as a place of service for local farmers. Pronunciation of Eromanga is air-oh-manga 😉. On our travels - usually when it's in a different state I always ask at a local business how to pronounce the local names, that way you can't go wrong. Have you guys thought about leaving some feedback to the local council or Visitor information centre or whoever is running the tourist attractions on what you'd like to see or the changes/improvements that might make it more appealing to travellers. If a place is boring or disappointing it runs the risk of putting people off travelling there and less travellers means less opportunity to improve for these small towns. There's so many small remote towns that get it right with improving their appeal so perhaps leaving feedback on what you guys found attractive might just help these little places do a bit better. I do absolutely love the fact that you guys are doing content on these remote areas while many content creators avoid them. I look forward to when we can head down that way.

Hahaha 😆 yes I know it's a shrub, but a big one at that. Absolutely we often chat to the Visitor Information Centre staff about our thoughts and definitely praise the towns on what they offer. Oh and yes I do ask for pronunciation but I also often forget how I have been told to say it, it's my talent really lol. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂

I have only just discovered your vlog. I very much enjoy the efforts Tracie puts into providing informative content. Jon's stupid comments on the other hand undermine her efforts and frankly give me the s**ts. Tracie put Jon on the end of the camera and you handle the presentation side of things.
