@Denisha Garrett you're so right!! I know now my recent ex girlfriend is "damaged" and I can't fix her. I've tried so hard to help her see things differently...we would argue n fight alot. Even when I showed her the truth about something, she still would not believe me. Instead she would believe and say the opposite all the time. She has manipulated me so much and broke me heart. I know now who she really is! :-(

Im kinda in the same situation but im the guy in this case. Its because he has been so hurt before and when he tries to be in a relationship and move on he thinks that he is going to get hurt again so he holds back. Hes scared thats all. But he does miss you when he says he does. Its hard to explain but in my situation i told the girl to go and be happy with someone because i feel like i am holding her back with me not being ready yet. But she insists on trying to wait around for me but i feel bad i wish she would just move on because idk how long its gonna be until i am ready

I'm an empath and tend to overthink, when someone says or does something hurtful to me with or without intent I feel it, whether I know them or not. I'd be hurt for like a minute or two. I realized that it doesn't hurt, that's just the feeling of disappointment from me thinking that you'd know better than to do or say something of that nature. So its never hurt I feel, just disappointment.

After the situation exploded on a group text simply because I was asking clarifying questions about an upcoming girls trip. I quickly realized that what took place was way deeper & had to do with something I had no knowledge of.

This is exactly what I'm going through. I've been with this guys for five years. Did everything for him. Gave him support. Gave him a child. This guy has cheated on me multiple times and when I find out about the things he does. He never stops. He just continues cheating. Now I see I've been giving him chances to hurt me again and again. It's all on me. I've been expecting him to be the person he's not. He's a serial cheater . That's all. I'm about to stand up and stop him from hurting me. Thanks Trent. Your videos are building me.

My husband died a few months ago at 44. I’m young with two kids and my expectation was that people would support me. Guess what? Very few people were there for the long haul. What a great video and thank you for spreading this message. I could have saved myself a world of hurt. My husband was always there for me and I can’t expect someone else to replace him.

Same... Im stuck at my parents with a 2 month old, 1year old, 2 year oldand an 8 year old and have no support. My mom doesn't live here she is a travel nurse and mydad can't handle the kids. Im actually a nurse, an lpn, and trying to find child care because honestly my friends and family cant help. I'll figure it out I did before when it was just me and my oldest child on our own in a new city....just takes time...

I'm in that situation right now 😔 I'm emotionally and mentally tired!! I can never do or say anything right. I try so hard but it's not good enough. I'm a prisoner in my own home 💔 I choose to not go anywhere without him or my little girls cause when I would leave by myself to go to the store I'd come back to him having an attitude with me and talking to me like a dog. He lives in my home and pays for nothing smh I'm going through so much and have been for over 3 years now. He's very disrespectful to me especially when he doesn't get his way. I wanna believe he'll change, I wanna believe he truly loves me, etc.. but I'm still waiting to feel those things from him.

Please pray for my daughter! She was sexually abused when she was little and told the family when she outted the person at 23. She's now 52 and has been married 5 times and they ALL still love her and she just can't be with anyone. She is so damaged and hurt it's difficult to watch her every day! She's the sweetest person and is so hurt and can't handle anyone trying to love her. Please pray for my child, thank you so much!

IMO it’s unfair to use the word “unfair”, especially when your expectations get systematically lowered to the point where you are willing to settle for the bare minimum and you fail to get even that. It’s not unfair to expect balance and give/take in a relationship whether they’re capable or not. But,depending on the person, it can indeed be UNREALISTIC, that’s a whole different ball park.

Relatable, each time I cry bc I feel hurt in my heart. Right now once more I'm so angry again holding myself back other wise I will rent him he's an asshole and being dismissive to me bc I told him I wanted to hug him. He replied: you can't now, I am tested positive for Corona. Okay I understand his point but my pain is the rejecting attitude as if he dislikes me. I replied: I just said it bc I care about you, u will hug you in my thoughts.. His reply : Please my leg is hurting bad I'm not in a good mood. Me: I'm just being sweet to you take it as a medicine. I will leave you alone then. His: thanks I'm going to cry under the shower and move on. Removed his number. I feel pain bc he tends to reject me in a rude way without any feeling but he also doesn't want to lose me. I have to make up my mind now. I mean I understand if he's ill and concerned needs some space but it's the way you communicate it. I can't change him and the way he interacts. Anger is often a sign that we are mistreated. Emotions have a function. How do you switch of the flow of love in your heart It feels like he's attached to me like a siamese twin. I'm so angry 😡and hurt. Confused as well if it's me. No. He's simply on another level but I would never tell someone I like to leave me alone when I would feel bad or had a situation. I'm also feel he treats me like the last important person in his life. Enough is enough. I have to let it, him go. I ever chased him. He normally contacts me. I just spoke to him from my heart bc I missed him. I'm writing it here bc I need to get it out other wise I will send him an angry test.

Trent this video made me cry. I'm going through a break up and I was lied to, spoken down to, disrespected and still had hope for this person to change. And nothing changed. It brought tears to my eyes because I grew mad at myself and said " I allowed it" so now I have to forgive myself. This is all facts! I recently was forced to end a six year relationship due to her lying and cheating. I knew she wasn't right for me from the beginning cause God was giving me signs but my heart was at war with my mind and I refused to see her for who she was until this last time where I finally ended it.
