In this video I take my Triumph Speed Twin for a ride in Malibu and try Old Topanga Canyon rd for the first time. Turns out its great, with new pavement and lots of tree cover.

I do that loop most weekends - Mulholland/TC/OTC. It’s a blast. If you see a Triumph Bobber waving, it’s likely me.

Very nice watching through this road. At 6.44 there is the house where in July 27 1969 there was the first murder of Charles Manson case , Bobby Beausoleil killed Gary Hinman

Looked like a sweet road. I have a British Customs 2-1 on my Speed Twin. I seems like I have to run mine about 500-1000 rpms higher. Never really noticed that until I watched your tac. Extremely fun bikes. Really enjoying all your mod vids too

Camera angle is superb. Bitchin' road. Love the exhaust tone. All in all just a great video. You're getting damn good at this.

Does your GoPro have stabilization?

Yes I have a GoPro 7 & 8 both have great stabilization!

So Sweet. Nice sounding exhaust.. I've for same bike, careful with the phone on the bar mount. I had an iPhone 10 and 11 up there and the vibration caused serious compromises to the camera stabilization in phone and needed to exchange phone... She's in the back pack now

Thanks for the tip, yeah I really don’t need it up there since my Cardo pack talk makes it easy to use my phone without touching it!

Amazing road! We've already had snow here in Canada and more forecasted for tomorrow. I need to move out of here!! Btw, you've got no decel popping anymore. What'd you do to stop that?

I feel it’s been a combination of all my mods plus time in the saddle, seems like it’s been getting less a less every time I ride. That could be my imagination though!

Is the riding position comfortable for long hauls?? Confused between this and t120. I'm a sucker for good cornering too.

My friend has a T120 and the seat is more comfortable and the seating position is a bit more upright. In stock form the ST comes with better tires compared to the T120 (in my opinion) I’ve done 5 hour rides up the California coast with no problem with comfort and I’m almost 40.

Adam Croll, So I’m looking into getting a speed twin this spring, is it worth getting the tire monitors? My plan was those, Vance and Hines and heated grips. Didn’t know if the tire monitors are as finicky as the ones on my car when the temperature changes.

I like having the tire monitors but they have been a bit finicky. Heated grips are worth it for sure!! Any exhaust upgrade has been worthwhile as well. Now it seems all the other aftermarket companies are making slipon’s for the speed twin so I’m excited to hear comparisons!
