Nice posting, thanks - brings back memories of the South Lancashire Transport trolley buses which operated west of Manchester. This thing I remember most as a teenager is that you could chase a back-loading bus & leap on whilst the driver was changing gear, but you had NO chance of doing this on a moving trolley bus as they took off like bats out of hell. Either way this would annoy the conductor. I loved it when they sometimes lost the pick up & had to be pushed back under the wire.

Feel quite nostalgic, I was one of the drivers at this event.
