Review - Trying Out Pre-Mixed Pouring Paint I Found at the Dollar Tree!

I found pre-mixed pouring paint at my local Dollar Tree store! I had to try it out! I tried two different methods of paint pour: tree ring and flip cup on 2 8x10 inch canvases. Let me know what you think of the paintings!

What if you added heat to them, do you think they would have patterns? Another person did a review but both added her “cloud” liquid and heated it. There were areas the paint lifted from the canvas when she did that so she said the paints were good for grandchildren etc. Thank you for the review with just the plain pour paint! I’ve just recently stumbled onto this art form and can’t wait to try it. I purchased the Dollar Tree pour paint in the store a few days ago, they were mostly sold out but I was able to get three colors. Her review scared me, your review excites me! Thanks again, I can’t wait to watch more of YOUR videos!

I haven't tried to add heat to these paints. It might be interesting to use a heat tool to pop any bubbles to create cells. I'm glad you're excited to try them!

Thank you for this review. I haven't tried acrylic pouring yet, but I saw these at Dollar Tree and bought indigo, blue, purple and metallic gold. They didn't have much of a selection. It's good to know they have more colors than what I bought. If this goes well I will buy more. I also noticed they have resin pour/casting kits now with resin and hardener. More fun stuff to try. I like your 2nd pour better than the tree rings as well. It has kind of a misty, watercolor look to it. I like that.

Thanks for your feedback! I've noticed that the Dollar Tree has started selling more colors than when I first found their pouring paints. I pick up any new colors I find each time I go. I haven't tried their resin yet, but it is on my to do list.

Some of these have turned thin for some reason i dont know i did nothing to them at all and I have been using these alone without doing the instructions on the side, plus I've been using these on some unfinished wood I bought at dollar tree and some at hobby lobby

These paints tend to dry thinner than acrylic paint mixed with a pouring medium. If you're unhappy with the way they dried, you could always paint over the wood with white or black paint and repour.
