This ultra rare ghostface addon is very strange and i'm unsure how to feel about it. It makes stalking much much faster while leaning while making non-leaning stalks much slower. I'm not really sure if this addon is ultra rare worthy, and i'm curious to know how you guys feel as well.

He would work for the local newspaper under the name Jed Olsen, kill people as the Ghost Face, and then report his own murders as Jed. The Ultra Rare add-on featured in this video is the security footage showing the Ghost Face and his murders, and Jed (a.k.a. the Ghost Face, a.k.a. the man behind the slaughter in the video) called the article "Ghost Face Caught On Tape"

And he even said that he thought the other guy was marked, (the one that was further away) but still makes sense if not 100% sure to hit the closer guy

For reference, the time it takes for a survivor to break Ghost Face out of stalk while looking at him is 1.5 seconds. So reducing the time of a leaning stalk to also be 1.5 seconds means that you can easily stalk someone to exposed in the middle of a chase if you start the stalk even a fraction of a second before they have enough of a view of you to break you out. Also, regarding red add-ons, I don't think they're intended to be "the best" add-ons per se, rather I think they're more intended to be add-ons that have interesting variations on the game play along with having a decent buff. Whether or not this particular leaning stalk red add-on is different enough from normal gameplay to qualify is reasonably debatable, but it does certainly open up opportunities to stalk in a chase that you wouldn't have otherwise.

@@joshbartfield6055 lunge distance and speed are different between Ghostface and Myers. Ghostface has better stats when it comes to lunge, speed etc always when it comes to myers so there's really no point in shutting down the idea.

I just wanna say as much as corrupt gives value to EVERY killer barring maybe doctor and other hex reliant play styles, it definitely gives the most value to stealth killers who can sneak up on survivors that try to blend. So kudos on consistently using corrupt on stealthers tofu

Specifically the speed while stalking. It makes sense on Myers (Scratched Mirror Myers moves as well as sees the auras of other survivors). On Ghostface, however, that is a dead weight. Same for the “harder to detect add-on” which do not even work. Even if you stack them together the survivors cannot uncover you from 20 meters.... That is just straight up terrible. His ultra rares are fun, albeit situational. Stalking Ghostface enjoys caught on tape, while agressive one (no stalk ghost face) does not, and instead likes speed of stalking while standing up. The differences in the add-on functionality create different play styles. His Camera add-on is super good though. It shows all survivors outside of your terror radius. Not convinced yet? Think it is a worse BBQ and Chili? This is why it is good: If you manage to quickly stalk and down the survivor before being thrown out of the power, you are undetectable, and hence, terror radius is 0. This means you see ALL survivors auras EVERYWHERE. Honestly, speed while crouching add-ones should be buffed to allow the Ghostface to use his crouching while in chase for some extra mind-game potential. Also, it would be nice to add this kind of add-on: If you hit a survivors before the chase activates (surprise attack) they suffer X effect. If you were to make it rare, it could as well be an exposed effect. Or it can be on-hit Nurse’s calling (similar to Nurse’s add-ons). Or on-hit slowdown. Many possibilities. This will work well for his aggressive playstyle.

Usually it takes 2.5 seconds to stalk from cover and 5 seconds to stalk without cover. With the addon you stalk 1.5 from cover and 5.75 without cover

I mean for survivors to break you out of stealth is 2 sec. Then the lean time is 1.5 sec. So you can mark a survivor before they break you out of stealth.

The whole point of DBD is to get as many BloodPoints as you can on both sides. For the killer that’s easy, use your power, hit survivors, and hook them. Survivors are supposed to loot chests, heal their teammates, and distract the killer enough so the rest of the team can do generators. I feel like a great way to balance out the way survivors is to slow down generator progress if too many are done in rapid succession. Like, if more than two generators are done within 90 seconds of each other, the rest of the gens are blocked for a minute. This would force the survivors to search chests or heal each other if need be. And killers who haven’t been able to hook survivors get additional time to do so.

This add-on should’ve been called “Are you Sid?” or Sydney Doppelgänger. The advantages to this trait on this killer is in sane. He got three hooks on three different survivors in the first match before they even got their first gennie. A decent killer could apply a ton of map pressure with this combo. One and a half seconds stock and then an instant down upon catching them.

I think the tape is worth being ultra you can literally lean stalk someone in less than 5 seconds which means you can come up lean and most likely get them exposed before they even realize your there or break you out.

Feels like the main reason it has a downside is just so it _can_ be an ultra-rare. If it was just "you stalk faster while leaning" it would just seem like another tier of a regular add-on. Now its like a tradeoff/gameplay changing thing like most ultra-rares. Still agree it doesn't feel like enough though.

I still think every killer should have 1 red addon that is strong, and the other red addon to be gameplay changing. For example on Ghost Face, Perhaps have one of the addons prevents the killer from losing stealth when swinging ( both missing and hitting ) however you cant mark targets. Just a thought.

Only time I ever use GFCOT is for the Ghostface daily and I offer Hawkins or Lerys. You lean stalk so fast normally I feel it doesn't even make much of a difference.

Don't forget the Pig's pink add-on Rules set No. 2 and purple add-on Amanda's Secret. Are there any uses for these add-ons besides memes and pointless mechanics or are they useless? Rules Set No. 2 makes it so that trapped survivors can only see boxes when the timer starts, while Amanda's Secret makes it so that you see auras of anyone for 6 seconds after they untrap themselves while also preventing you from seeing your own boxes. Any ideas?

I think this Add-On is a bit bugged. It's supposed to stalk in 1.5 Seconds but I put a Timer on excactly when he had a clear stalk at 14:05 and it was always around 2 Seconds. So it's only half a Second less.

I think that's one of the reasons killers hate SwFs. Because the difference is fricken noticable. Rando group, doubles up on gens, unhooks, +might attempt a flash light save, but generally play in... well, a random way. SwFs will just split up, slam gens, with whoever in chase running far away from the others. And it just becomes a sweat fest. Both sides get frustrated, because killer feels like they have to play sweaty, and survivors get mad you get sweaty. And it's like "Well, what do you want me to do? Throw the game because you're playing like seal team 6?"

I can never get the lean to work properly with ghostface. You go next to a tree, try to stalk, and he looks directly at the tree. You shuffle around a bit, finally get him leaning, then you move 1 step and he stops leaning and you have to stop stalking, move, and stalk again.

The real power of GF:COT is that if you start stalking a survivor while leaning, they cannot look at you to expose you to stop it. Because COT Lean-Stalk and revealing Night Shroud both take 1.5 seconds, while without COT, survivors that notice and start looking at you in that first second of stalk can break you out before you finish.

Tofu, there's one addon for Freddy that I never saw many people use and I don't really understant if it's good or bad. It's called Pill Bottle. Could you try to explain the addon and tell if it's good or not?

I feel the reason the addon does what it does is because it gives the survivors a split second to knock you out before they are exposed rather than them being about 70% stalked b4 you're spotted
