I love the Black Crowes and have since their first album. We are of a similar age, but I remember whining until my uncle bought me this album (cassette at the time) when it came out. I dont remember ever asking my uncle to buy me anything and I was too old to be whining. but the memory (and the tape) are real. This album was OUTSTANDING and full of the different ways that the Black Crowes could play Blues Based Rock. Im a Rolling Stones fan. Always loved Paint It Black Stones and then went to Under My Thumb/Playing With Fire Stones...but ultimately fell in love with Let It Bleed Stones. I love the way they mix blues and rock with that jangly piano in the background...that's what made me fall in love with the Black Crowes in 89 when I first heard "Jealous Again". That said, their second album "Southern Harmony and Musical Companion" is a Perfect 10 album. My choices for the next songs for Steph to hear will come from there....either Thorn In My Pride or Bad Luck Blue Eyes Goodbye....both are perfect songs and constantly compete for my favorite Black Crowes song.

Just a great band. They had a string of good albums before they imploded… got to see them two times back in the day and they were something to see live; spectacular. I guess the brothers are back on good terms, but I don’t know if the Crowes are back together. Chris was on Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast not too long ago and I’ve been meaning to watch it.

As an update, the Black Crowes do have a new album out and they are on tour. Both Robinson brothers are on board, so good deal. I do recommend the Club Random podcast with Chris as the guest.
