I LOVE the twins! They are BANGIN' and I am 72 yrs. old. I grew up with Dion, and all the 60s music. Have the twins heard Buddy Holly? He was one of the greatest rockers of the 1950s. Also the twins need to check out Danny & the Juniors. So many great songs. Listen to "At the Hop." Also "Rock & Roll is Here to Stay."

In the 1970's, Leif Garrett covered this song. He was a teen idol then, like Dion was in the 1950's and 60's. I was in 3rd grade, and my Daddy bought me the 45 record bc he loved the original version when he was a kid. And he danced with me in the living room when we brought it home from the record store. This reaction brought back that wonderful memory. Thank you.

It's so funny to me that this song is so great and fun sounding but in today's world this would be a diss track and rumors would be flying as to whom Dion is really referring to. Music back in the day is just so much more fun and in my opinion just better than today's music.

People sometimes forget that Dion was on the same tour as Buddy Holly, Richie Valance & The Bopper. For whatever reason he didn’t get on that fateful flight, the day the music died. He went on to a great career with many hits, and is still putting out great music, most recently with Boz Scaggs. The guy is a force of nature hasn’t hardly lost a note. Most people will recommend “The Wanderer” or “Abraham Martin & John” both big hits but I’m going to suggest “I’ve Got To Get To You” with Boz Scaggs & the Menza brothers. It was released this year. It kicks!

Dion is still delighting audiences, and there is a new, autobiographical musical that he's been working on for a few years. It is set to make its debut at the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ. I was addicted to this song as a kid, during the resurgence of doo-wop and oldies in the 1970s, the days of Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley. If you want more of Dion and The Belmonts, check out The Wanderer, I Wonder Why, and Donna, The Primadonna.
