I have to say after all the videos I have watched in the past and reading up about this , Your video is the only one that showed how to connect this to an amp head and to the unit, and then the bulb was lit in my head on what this Two Notes Torpedo does. I couldn't for the life of me understand it until now. ( I guess I'm a little slow) Now I think I really like what this does. Probably going to buy one. I always enjoy all your videos. Thanks Shane.

You could always just shave your head smooth like Kerry King. LOL Instant Metal ;-) Great video, I saw one by your fellow Aussie Brett Kingman last year. Nice piece of gear.It's nice they give you a printed manual, I just got a Universal Audio Apollo Twin a week ago on sale and no manual. They do have one as a PDF online but it's over 100 pages to print out. :-(

Hey shame have you tried the mythical fender setting yet? Worked amazingly well on my pro reverb. Volume - 6, Treble - 6, middle - 3, bass - 2. Bright - on, presence - off. Can't remember the exact name but it's something like 'magic 6'.

Hi Shane, How do you about this with bass amps? since ive read its rated at loading 100w amps, but bass amps are generally much more than this, ie. 400 watt 500 watt etc Cheers, Adrian

I am dwelling between getting a Torpedo Live or a Palmer PDI-03. I read about latency of the Two Noted which worries me. Palmer was used by Bonamassa, Keith Urban, Rush, Black Keys which states for it’s quality. Any recommendations?

Newbie question: how is this different from plugging your guitar into the instrument jack in a Focusrite, then into garage band to emulate amps? I am trying to set up a budget recording set up. Was thinking about a 2i4 with an SM57 to be able to us a mic or not. Thanks for any help.

Garageband amp simulation isn't very good. This is different because it's the cab and mic being simulated, not the amp as well.

How would you compare this to a Rivera Rockcrusher Recording, a Radial Headload, Palmer, etc.?

Paul Rox I have the live now but I got a headload for about a year. The Headload is a tank, well build, with an attenuator...not a load box. The speaker must be connected. Now for the voicing, therés alimited amount of flavor you can get but it covers a wide spectrum already. There's a JDX built-in which permit to record without a real mic so you avoid mic bleeding and there's a phazer which permits to eliminate any phase cancellation you could have when recording 2 sources. In my case, the voicing and loadbox were the 2 main factors to go with live. Finally, the live format takes less space on my desk....you could also compare the Headload with a Palmer PDI-03 or PDI-04 Hope that helps

is there a plugin where you can change all the settings in a recording session or do you have to reamp to change the sound(cab, mic, etc..)?

ElectricFunk73 You can save your presets on the live directly and recall them via midi. Or you could use WOSIII with any impulse response you bought. WOSIII is their software version that stays fine tuned following your parameters. Everytime you open song in your DAW, it comes up with the saved config.

wondering the same... a lot of vintage amps are 4ohms not 8ohms. these guys NEVER mention that in these videos

Quick question- how do you plug a 2-Ohm Super Reverb into the Torpedo if it has an 8-Ohm connection? That's just asking for your Super Reverb to blow up.

you can do that just how it is, you just cant use a signal with more ohms than the unit after it can handle.

The super-reverb is not a strict 2ohms. If you read the back or instructions it will say the minimum is 2ohms. It works fine with the Two Notes.

What about running a 1977 fender twin reverb silverface into it??? it is a 4ohm output as well. Please respond im very concerned the amp is on it's way now and I don't want to run it into my torpedo with a mismatch even if it's a small one (4 to 8)

GUYS I HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM. My vintage fender tube amp is a 4ohm output. All digital loadboxes want 8ohms. Am i forced to run my amp at a mismatch thus affecting my tone???? please help

the CAB is not a loadbox. you cannot plug your speaker amp output into the CAB. Otherwise the simulation part is exactly the same.

This can be used as you'd normally use a load box? I could hook my amp to this, then thru to my speaker cab (all real, no computer), and then monkey about with power sections, cabs, etc, etc? And, I cannot WAIT for the hilarious, know-it-all trolls who are going to pile on this; that's going to be GREAT, Bahahaha xD
