Good list for people new to found footage but I think most people familiar with the genre have already watched all of these. A few notable omissions for me... Butterfly Kisses is an incredible found footage movie, scary and believable and more true to the term 'found footage' than movies that preceded it in the genre. The Conspiracy is fantastic too, a must watch for found footage fans imo as is Jeruzalem, The Banshee Chapter... actually I could make a list of little known found footage gems as long as the list you've made of movies that we all already know about. Every found footage list I see all has the same movies which is kind of a shame.

I went into Gonjiam expecting to be unimpressed, because it did have a cliche setting and concept, but regardless of that the movie definitely still worked. There were some subtle scares (I'm thinking of the "you can see everyone in this shot...so who was filming?" bit) and the creepy whispering. That sent a VISCERAL shock to my system.

This gave me the push to watch Apollo 18, as I love found footage and had never seen it before. It's actually free on youtube now! The acting was good, the visuals were good, I just didn't find anything about it scary or unnerving, or at all uncomfortable to watch (which I think a good horror movie of any kind should make you feel). They’re unnerving and very effective in what they do. A third is currently in the works. Seriously - i’m dying for more people to watch these. If you ask me, Willow Creek is brilliant. The actors seem like genuine people and interact so naturally. The building tension is almost unbearable. no no no. I guess you probably just don't make my type of content. You got me to click by saying "the ultimate found footage watch list" Then put a list that is almost identical to every website on Google when you search for found footage movies to stream. The problem with those lists and your own is that they only list the top POPULAR found footage. Not the actual BEST found footage movies. You even missed layups like butterfly kisses and The Borderlands. Unless I just missed them. OH well, such a bummer. If there would have been even ONE movie, just a SINGLE interesting choice that was unique, I would have had way more respect. Seriously, though, I have to ask. Did you just search for the most popular Found Footage horror and then put that into a list? What a bummer. Who knows, maybe found footage just isn't your thing when it comes to horror. Oof.
