The reality of this scenario in my neck of the woods would be completely different. First of all, if any word got out to any of the big time collectors / dealers, you really wouldn't stand a chance of getting in on any of this. The reason being is that they are very smooth /con operators, with tons of CASH IN YOUR FACE. In other words I'll make you a quick offer that you can't refuse. Tens of thousands of dollars (A FIST FULL OF DOLLARS PLUS FOR A FEW MORE DOLLARS) these people wouldn't refuse. In comes the big cube van with a few guys and two hours later...all gone. I've witnessed this once and had to refuse on two other homes loaded with thousands of records. Honestly I could never carry loads of cash around to ever make on the spot deals. TUCO you can always consider yourself extremely fortunate to have scored so much and not to put yourself in extreme DEBT AS I'VE WITNESSED MANY. I for one am so happy for your passion and good fortune. May you always be blessed and peaceful. Peace to everyone.

Not sure why Cali dude didn't buy all this stuff. I'd have just bought the entire lot and let that be that if he was in such a position. But man, what the hell was he buying passing up on all this stuff? Makes no sense as I assume the others who were outside with you had to have similar finds. Was Cali guy an actual professional or just a rich person filling in spots? Makes no sense. Thanks for doing the video. This is great. Can't wait to get to the 80,000 records I bought (weather has sucked too bad and it's going to take some coordination). Will post a lot of flip videos but it's mainly going to be classical and jazz. @@VinylHunter Yeah. With records, you don't leave anyone behind. I can't see a record store owner passing on that stuff. I mean, you're finding hair rock, ACDC.....a store owner doesn't pass on that. I wonder if someone with experience paid someone without experience to go pick. A pro, or even a semi-pro doesn't leave that stuff behind.

More amazing stuff. It is quite incredible that a record dealer could leave such things. I mean leaving 60s Nirvana, or mint Kinks, T2, sealed Tangerine Zoo?? The mind boggles that a dealer could be that clueless. His loss, your gain. Regards Nigel

Then, at my very last day at the garage...it was very slim pickins...they brought out the very last box and set it (luckily) in front of me...it was records from the very back top corner of the other garage bay (that you haven't seen yet)...they were out of reach of Cali dude, so they were completely unpicked...that one box was just like days 2 and 3 all over again! I'm stunned! Divinyls, Scratch Acid, The Cramps, SSD, Shadows of Knight, Captain Beyond...so much good stuff, even with California Guy getting first dibs. Wow. The Divinyls are my favorite music group of all time. Their actual first album was Music From Monkey Grip, which was a soundtrack from the Aussie movie "Monkey Grip." Chrissie Amphlett is an actress in the movie and you will see the Divinyls play as well. Great soundtrack too. Highly recommended. I love all of the Divinyls records. I can't get enough of their stuff. Those Scratch Acid records are killer. You found a Starkweather LP also! All that metal you found too, especially Motorhead! I'm just sitting here shaking my head. Congrats on the scores! ~ Nicola Edit: I just checked Discogs and you are correct, the self titled Divinyls is listed as their first LP. Music From Monkey Grip was also released in 1982. Have a great rest of the weekend.

It's fidly but Monkey Grip charted as an EP in Australia even though it had seven tracks. "Only Lonely was a huge radio hit but never got released as a single in Australia so this was the default. This is EXACTLY why I turn tail from estate sales and anything that attracts many guys who “know their shit”. I couldn’t have put up with the tense atmosphere that comes from such a situation. And in 2023, anything and everything is game; vinyl, CDs, tape, video, magazines, books and memorabilia. Everyone has their knives out in addition to their radar.

Well, i guess I'm guilty of that. For me it's fun though. I actually enjoy going and waiting for an hour in line at an estate sale before it opens. But, yeah, that's definitely not for everyone! Have you heard that? ...Love the 60's Nirvana LPs! ...Ahh, Argent: Just picked up one I never knew existed: "Nexus" - excellent space-rock and now my fave Argent LP by far! ...Hey, I just found an exact reish of that Tangerine Zoo LP on high quality red vinyl! Used to have the originals of ALL of those garage/psych Mainstream LPs - I remember way back in the day when Kresge's 5&10 store had a FULL TABLE of nothing but those Mainstream LPs for 3/$1 when I was a kid - I bought 1 of each - should have bought the entire table! ...Speedboys: Used to see them all the time when they played in Harrisburg. ...And finally - many of those late 70's & early 80's alt/punk, metal LPs you showed I used to buy in pre-packs of 100 misc LPs from Steve K of Performance Records in the early 90's! I used to love going up to his huge warehouse! See ya next installment!

Well, it turns out my record is not a good example of Beaver and Krause music. I listened to about 10 minutes of it on yt, and i was like "this is just a bunch of blips and bleeps"! I thought it sounded like they were just turning some knobs on moog synths, seeing what kinds of noises you can make with it. Well, after reading a bit about it...it turns out that's pretty much what it is! This record is not meant to be musical...it's just an example of the sounds that can be produced. Examples of sine waves, triangle waves, etc. Mine comes with a book that explains each sound bite. ...and now i like my record even more! So now I'll have to look up some of their compositions on yt.

Tuco, I'm happy you were still able to score big. Looks to me that Cali dude really does not know a lot about records. Cause if this was a big dealer they would have bought all. I wonder how much he paid for each. I'm also wondering how he found out about this honey hole all the way in Nebraska. This is driving me nuts. I could of been a big dealer if my chit never got fck up in hurricane Andrew. I had a whole house full of records in every room including the kitchen. You could not walk in my house. I use to buy big collections and sell many in auction in goldmine magazine. I bought a collection from a dude in Detroit, everything promo, jazz collections, exotica collection, soul and disco collection all promo and even some of Waggy Tees hip hop chit which was in a storage unit in Miami. It's pretty well dried up now. Now everyone and his Momma looking for records, thanks to ebay. I made better $$$$ selling via goldmine. Had many customers selling to europe and japan on a fax machine direct auctions to them. They would send me their want lists and what they would pay. Which was a lot. Now a lot of those records prices drivin down with ebay. Really only the obscure stuff like psych, northern soul, reggae. Etc. You get good money for. Bluenotes and prestige mono 1st pressings 👂. A lot of stuff hit rock bottom. I am so happy to see you still can find good stuff. Keep on diggin. Love your You-tube. You are the best.

Oh man!!! I totally remember buying from Goldmine! I'd read ALL that fine print in every ad...in every issue! I was just collecting Alice Cooper at the time.

The Magic Mirror with the Red Raven records was a lot cooler than the rock music that you've got everyone drooling over. I hope the analytics will show that you got a nice spike at the seven-minute mark. Coincidentally, I made a zoetrope machine out of some old records that I'll share in a future video. Those psych records could probably come in handy for swapping for vintage gear. Titus said that this video is a classic. He watches your videos in "snippets" throughout the week because your videos are too DAMN long. (I get scolded every time my videos exceed fourteen minutes.) That garage was in sad shape. You'd think that roof leaks and mice would have done more damage. Mouse turds in garage-stored collections are the worst. Question: How often did you silently judge the guy next to you for leaving you too much meat on the bone when the box came to you?

The bad thing about collectors like you, is you take all the good shit just to put it on a shelf and never listen to them again, were as me, I actually listen to them everyday. And yeah, they're rare and everything, but that doesn't mean they need to be so high I'm price. Shit, about 2;years ago I was in a pawn shop in Oklahoma City and found the following albums for $.50 a piece. Spring - Self-Titled (1971 RCA/Neon) Christopher - Self-Titled ( 1971 Metromedia) Jericho - Self-Titled (1972 A&M) Pacific Sound - Forget Your Dream (1972 Splendid) Joseph - Stoned Age Man (1969 Scepter) Jasper Wrath - Self-Titled (1971 Sunflower) Randy Holden - Population II (1970 Hobbit) The Louvin Brothers - Satan Is Real (1958 Capitol) And.... Subject ESQ - Self-Titled (1972 Epic) I have it in my will that my records will be cremated with me when I die. I have 34,067 records and know every one of them like the back of my hand. I'm sure they felt the same as you did, getting all pissed off because you couldn't get "the valuable shit" it's not about money or having trophy records on your walls or in your shelves, it's about the songs and the continuing search for even better songs. Record collectors like you piss me off, because you complain about other collectors taking the shit that you want too, like a fucking child. found every one of my records for dirt cheap and in flawless conditions over the year and I wouldn't pay over $10 for an album like Virus - Thoughts, or Peggy's Leg - Grinilla, which I do own and only paid $2 for the former, and $1 for the Peggy's Leg album, which is a private press. It's just fucking retarded why collectors pay so much. I don't give a shit how much their worth, I ain't selling them and no greedy ass collectors are gonna get them just to say they have it...cause your so cool, right? and probably can't remember most of the songs from some of these obscure artists.
BOOM! vinyl records haul DIG OF A LIFETIME!
