In this video, Phil unboxed a Legacybox box that a customer sent off to them and months later returned all of their film reels without sound on them with no refund!!

I've been saying for years that parts will eventually run out and might have to resort to pulling good working parts off dead camera's to making one working camera. As for Scambox, I mean- LegacyBox, I remember one of their advertisements being "We have specielized customly made gear to transfer your media to digital, and I think that's when many customers believed they had a magical device that zipped all the "Data" LOL !! As for LegacyBox not transferring audio, they just cannot be bothered at all just lazy transfer company.

We transfer super8 sound but it takes 2 passes. Then we have to recombine the audio with the film footage, which is probably why Legacybox doesn;t want to do it.

"Spare" parts shortages? Disintegrating media? Only a matter of borrowed time when it comes to these "legacy" formats. Yes, I heard all of the time from random persons, "we're going to reissue this thing, that part, or the awesome format 'we all' cherish." On very few occasions it happened and when it did, often the reissued item was significantly substandard. Save them the best way possible sooner than later.
