@@jelkel25 Sorry, didn't mean to offend it was my own nostalgic take on what the handles remind me of. I enjoy a lot 70's, but the look of the handles takes me back to that setting and the colors I don't miss. Grey Poupon is a brand of dijon mustard (reference to the handle color), they used to run a popular series of commercials here in the States back in the 80's, where that was "Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon?" is the catch phrase. Again sorry, if I seemed off putting as that was not my intent.

The USA made versions of old are nice. I have a few myself. I'll probably be getting quite a few other of these "next gen" though. While I do like many of the older USA versions, the prices can get out of hand.

I've found that some UH and OT with the funky numbering on them are probably a little inferior, gift set types. You might try a regular one and see. If you do let us know, thanks Jay.

@@ThriftyKaniffy that makes alot of sense it wasnt in a gift set but was sold outof auto zone in one of those bubble packages, you know the ones that your more likely to cut yourself on the plastic, i also picked up an old timer pioneer, i thought it looked intresting because it has a pocket clip and ive never seen an OT with a pocket clip, suprising tho on the PAL the fit was phenominal it had no gaps no blade wrap and smooth transitions the finish is the same as it always has been but the pioneer has a minor gap in the back between the back spring and liner but i was able to get a wicked edge on it and they both are out of the same metal the 7cr

@@jaykerivan6071 Could be the heat treat as you say. That can make a world of difference. The Fit and Finish can vary a lot between patterns of a like brand. Rough Rider is a good example of that. Some are incredible, others I avoid.
