I bought the old gen, china made LB8. Came dull and wouldn't take an edge, full of unfinished rough spots on the handle. I'll stick with my Buck 110, thanks. If they make these better in the future (doubt it) I'll buy one, but not as they are currently made.

The edges can vary a lot in quality. Unfortunate.

You got a lemon. The uncle Henry's have better quality than buck on average. Had plenty of problems with my buck 110 collection. It's insane anyone would pay full price for a buck 110. It's not worth it at all

After spending most of a day dealing with a bleeding dye job on a Frost bone handled knife, I am definitely seeing the value of Staglon scales! Thanks for another great review on another great NextGen Uncle Henry knife.

Bargain lockback Staglon looks good & nothing wrong with 7cr I think for the money its a decent working blade steel,,,great review TK ,,have an awesome weekend buddy👍

That fake stag looks 10 times better than the old version and I’m happy they passed on a shield. The shield is always the first thing to go on those knives. A good looking knife 👍

Carried one of these for a few years in the mid 80's ( I think I paid about $20.) , it did everything I need it to do (work and hunting) and it did it well. Schrade+stainless (probably 420 or 440) no "cutting edge" (pardon the pun) super steel. Staglon grip panels , no "N.A.S.A." created "super polymer" and a time tested lock that wasn't designed by a nuclear engineer in his spare time. A reasonably priced , quality , knife made in the U.S.A. (Ellenville , N.Y.)

That's right. Just goes to show you don't need super steel to have a knife that'll last helluva long time, especially if you don't ignore it.

You know me. I love the Uncle Henry's. Poor guy like me gets to feel Buck worthy. I love them. Survival on purpose channel really got me started with Schrade cutlery. I don't mind the old staglon because it's what my grandpa had. They have that 60s 70's look ( fake for the sake of looking fake) kind of has that burnt ranch wood look to me that was common during the 1950s.

That looks like a big improvement in the handle material. I have the LB7 and like it and have used it quite a bit. I don’t think anyone could say they didn’t get their money’s worth with this line.

Man I missed you again I like messin with you on the lives I have fun!!!!! Anyway I just watched it now……. Honestly it’s ok it’s a improvement to the last covers but man it just looks so cheap….. I have a bunch of Uncle Henry’s so I’m not against them by no means!!!!!! If I had a option I’ll take the wood one…. Plus wood is good 😊 thanks thrifty

So....I have this knife and think it's a good value and handsome BUT the brass liners....when the blad is open and you're gripping the knife the liners are so sharp to my inner fingers...I don't like that and don't know how to fix it. My Buck 110 feels smooth and not like it's going to cut me

An easy fix. Use a small piece of 400 grit sandpaper to round over the sharp edges. Run it along the corner of the liners on both sides of the interior channel. It might take you 3 minutes and you'll notice a marked difference in comfort when gripping.

Really nice knife but wow I hate how that was....fixed it right up....cleaned out any debris, re-oiled....now I love it where before it was intolerable. Thanks!! I live in a state where we can put one this big in a pocket so I like to have my two to switch out. Thank you again

Since our economy has gone downhill a new Buck 110 is around $70 . When I bought mine they were about half that price.

I have serveral of the older usa made ones I use to love Schrade . For the price I guess you can go worse personally Id just buy a Rough Ryder lockback but this video makes me appreciate CJ Buck for not selling out to the Commie Chinese long live the USA Made 110 and 112s .

Yes, that has confused me about Buck as well. I was fortunate to have gotten some 110's on sale for $35. You have to keep your eyes open, but it does happen occasionally.
