I have stuff bottled up for too long (years) and decided to seek counseling from the VA. I have my first session next week. This video gave me a lot to think about going in even though I know this isn't for a C&P exam. A little nervous but I need to let this out.

Hang in it bro. It's rough...but you gotta keep with it. Due to civdiv and veterans daily I've been going to therapy for four months. I'm rated at 30% from 2013 for anxiety but will be filing for PTSD. My psyche diagnosed me with PTSD with many severe symptoms, insomnia, hypersomnia (it flips week to week) major depression, anxiety disorder, derealization and depersonalization disorder (which is the diorder associated with flashbacks and struggling with recognition of things i should be familiar with...like my childrens names for example or what my house looks like, or how to get home) I'm able to work but nearing my 2-3 year change in career time I've had for twelve years.

I appreciate you mentioning that you were seeking treatment for ADHD & the rest came out. I wonder if because I’m a woman that the PTSD hasn’t been prodded, I was deployed as a medic and had patients from 2 mass cal events that are documents (even some injuries mentioned) in an award letter. I have diagnosis for ADHD, GAD, MDD & Adjustment Disorder but think PTSD has been ignored. I’m going to talk to my MH prescriber about it, I’ve been working with her for a while and will ask for eval.

As noted veterans need to repeatedly go over the events (stressors), again & again & again. I’m going into my 2nd round of MH C&Ps with extreme dread.😢

I got stuff I can't even talk about because people might get in trouble still to this day, so I just keep it all bottled up as usual.

You should articulate in a way to focus on your effects and not what others did. Especially if you need help, not even compensation.

No lie the behavior observation is kinda insane. I wore a ripped tank top and a green cap and the examiner said I dressed normally…

I already have my Intnent to File done for PTSD, been on meds and making all my video meetings. Recently hit 100P&T, so wondering if I should even continue with it….. I most likely will, even if I am at 230% total, but if I don’t something might pop up down the road. Thoughts? Psych and I have been a year into this and she’s put in my records (TERA conceded) PTSD SC….

Ok, I have a question. Is a “SCT” code a diagnosis in my VA medical records? I see some that indicate ICD or others indicating “SCT”. Are they equivalent for a proper diagnosis?
@TheCivDiv
@TheCivDiv 2 ай бұрын
SCTs are treatment codes and I would approach that as a diagnosis for VA trying purposes. ICDs are the actual diagnostic kids. - Clay

@@TheCivDiv thanks bro. @CivDiv. This helps clarify things tremendously in this VA bureaucratic cesspool. Wouldn’t know what I’d do without your wealth of information. I just tell others and I hope to help as much as you help me. APTTMHY
