Left out of the Cindy Wismiller case, according to the Unsolved Mysteries wiki - the police checked the family's phone records and found they were making calls to Florida, where they found Cindy was living under an alias, and that's when she turned herself in. The family knew, or at least found out at some point, that she was in hiding, didn't tell police, and probably were the ones who tipped her off that the police were on to her. Makes me wonder how much the family REALLY knew about what she was up to.

Molly's family is acting like she's a poor, little victim. She's a crummy, straight-up criminal and a lousy excuse for a mother abandoning her little girl to go commit crimes with her new stud. Family and friends are usually blinded by the fact that they love the person. It messes up their objectivity and open mindedness. I have a brother in prison for life since 1992 for murder and have lived this firsthand. Sure you love them, but they still have to be held accountable and justice be served. Making excuses for them doesn't help them or anyone else. I won't change my mind about right and wrong simply because he's my brother.

Yup, most women like the bad boys or the sad boys. Nice guys finish last LOL. The funny thing is then they grow up and realize the bad boys and sad boys only fill the physical need, and not the other needs of a relationship. They then whine "there are no good men" Um, no there were you didnt want them, remember? So they went with women who treat them with dignity and respect. Now youre stuck. LOL Thats why I married my wife - one of the rare good ones.

In Cynthia’s case is can be presumed her family lied. They knew she was guilty and where she was. It was reported that police eventually found phone records of the family making routine calls to Florida and they started soon after she disappeared. It’s how police knew where she was and discovered she was living in a house boat and begin to close in. Cindy knew they were getting close, tired of running and turned herself in. Her family, at least some of them, knew where she was and that she was guilty.

And they are usually over 6 foot tall , and built like a brick wall.

You might think that but the reality is she has a felony conviction that will close many doors for her in the future in terms of housing, employment, schooling opportunities, eligibility for government programs, etc. It's not just any felony either but one of the two worst kinds of felonies: a felony of dishonesty. That means it's unlikely if not impossible that she will ever be able to get any decent job which chances of advancement, supervisory positions, and certainly no job where she would be placed in a position of trust. There's a lot of other long-lasting collateral consequences to convictions like that that people don't consider.

On Aril 29, 2005, Commercial Crimes Division Detectives arrested Omar Adalberto Arroyo at Los Angeles World Airport after his extradition from Costa Rica by United States Marshals. Arroyo was wanted on 45 felony counts for Grand Theft, Identity Theft, Forgery, Perjury, and Credit Card Fraud. Arroyo was part of a ring of suspects operating children's music schools in Southern California. The suspects would obtain the parents financial information and make unauthorized credit transactions creating a loss to over 200 Hispanic families and numerous financial institutions in excess of $1,500,000. Arroyo became a fugitive in October 2001, after the arrest of a second suspect, Mario Yunis, who last year received a 12 year sentence on this case. Commercial Crimes Division Detectives initiated a manhunt, and tracked Arroyo to Florida, Puerto Rico, New York, Canada, Mexico City, and Costa Rica, where the Costa Rican Interpol arrested him. Arroyo refused to be extradited and remained in Costa Rican custody pending an official request for extradition by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, High Tech Crime Unit. Twenty months later, Arroyo called the United States Embassy in Costa Rica, requesting his return to the United States.

You don't get caught, then it's $500. Then $1,000, $2,000, $10,000. Once you steal $5,000, you might as well get $250,000. Same sentence.

Solved. In December of 2006, investigators examined Cindy's family's phone records and learned that they had made phone calls to Walton County, Florida. They soon located her in Walton County where she had been living since she vanished. She had been living on a house boat under the name Cindy Blanchard. After learning that the police were going to arrest her, Cindy left her home and drove to the Kokomo Police Department in Kokomo, Indiana to turn herself in. She pleaded guilty to theft and served two years in prison before being released. She also repaid most of the stolen money. She denied having an accomplice and it is not believed that anyone else was involved in the crime. How anyone believed she was innocent, idk. 😂😂😂

Margaret DeFrancisco was captured in March of 2002 after authorities received tips that she was at the home of relatives in Roscoe, Illinois. Seven months later, Regina DeFrancisco was arrested in Dallas, Texas for stealing a car from an acquaintance; she was soon discovered to be wanted in Illinois after her fingerprints were checked. At their trials, the sisters claimed that they killed Oscar in self-defense. However, their friend testified that the sisters' plan was to rob Oscar. She claimed that they walked down to the basement and she heard a gunshot. Other friends testified that the sisters had confessed to killing him. Regina was found guilty of first degree murder and sentenced to thirty-five years in prison. She will not be eligible for parole until 2037. Margaret's first trial ended in a mistrial, but she was found guilty at a second trial and sentenced to forty-six years in prison. She will not be eligible for parole until 2050.
