I was saying while you were talking," the iron" should work. Love you to bits, if you use it in journals, you can put parchment paper in-between the pages. Have a great week.

Glad it’s not put you off. I’ve been trying more ways to leach the oil out but nothing seems to work. As you say, oil will be oil but it’s still a super duper technique to try. Hope you have fun. Workman here now…looks like a war zone in the kitchen! 😂🤣 Tfw. Hugs,Dee xxx

If you bake the paper, the excess oil will come out and it will have the most awesome texture, still bendy, but it will feel old and be more transparent. You just line a cookie sheet with an old dish towel and put the paper on top bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for a very few minutes.

Definitely worth trying it. It’s such a magical technique. I can’t believe I’d not seen it before. I have the candle wax method but wasn’t keen on the result. Baby oil is much better, in my opinion. Have fun tomorrow! Tfw. Hugs,Dee xxx

Hi Dee, here at the Texas facility we tried washing it with Dawn and later tried flour to no avail. I was going to try workable fixative, but my paper tore, lol! Thank you for sharing. Hugs, Julie 🥰

I found the same thing Dee glue worked but tape did not, I just love the results, I did Antonio's free down load papers later and the are just gorgeous tfs ... Kia kaha...

Thank you for your experimentation. Very informative. It's a shame you can't get rid of that oil. Read Lori's comment down below. I'd be interested to see if baking removes it. Good to know which glues work. I'd have put money on red tape working! Great video 💗

I have used Vitamin E and olive oil. Guess I will try pressing them in some paper. Talcum powder is dangerous! Use baking powder. xoxo

Thank you so much for this video, Dee. I'm definitely going to try it. I don't have baby oil, but I have stacks of coconut oil, so I'll try with that. Hopefully it will work as I really don't want to buy baby oil 😂

Think I put to much oil on mine yesterday 🙈…still feel oily n some still wet….but this numpty put them on a plastic bin bag to dry 😂😂😂.Good results for transparency on copy paper but only opaque on thicker paper.All good though 😁x

I'm not surprised about the red line tape as it doesn't stick to greasy surfaces. Did you find as the oil was leaching out onto the paper in your various experiments, were they loosing their transparency? Hope all went well with the electrics

I’m pretty thankful the tape didn’t stick as I can’t stand using it! 😂 Yes, the oil does leach out. Still experimenting. I haven’t noticed any loss of transparency. Tfw. Hugs,Dee xxx
