Same here - I was born in 1979 and really caught Jordan from 1991 onwards (this is when the NBA started being broadcast in Greece). So I missed the late 80s show, although I had heard of how good he was. Still, I feel immensely blessed to have lived through both threepeats. This whole argument of Jordan vs LeBron is an utter joke. LeBron is great, but Jordan stands head and shoulders above ANYONE.

It's also just odd to weigh a subjective defensive award so highly when everything else is using objective measures (mvp voting was not used for example). PER or BPM already factor in the counting stats and efficiency with appropriate weighting. Contaminating them with counting metrics and other stuff without much thought to weighting or any regard to efficiency is purely for entertainment purposes and should be treated as such
