Dave, I agree with you. I am also part of the community and just because some of the members wear community clothes does not mean they are part of it. Everyone should live the way they want - all 7 of them are adults and we are not their mothers, fathers, siblings or partners to tell them what to do. Jin and V can act, and they will do well. V is not following stereotypes anyway, so his opting for cameos will be great. However, in these recent extended interviews, he appears to be a deep thinker and considerate personality. He is not a person full of himself.

If you'll notice in Blue mv, the man that V chasing has a keys on his waist (pants) and since V is kept on knocking on the door and looking for a key under the pot of a plant, the man that appears looks like a maintenance the reason why he has many keys on his waist... he runs because he knows V will ask him to open the door. look closely on the ending part and you'll understand the reason behind.

Since he didn't write the lyrics, it has nothing to do with his life. He and the producer and mv directors would have discussed how to portray the song. I feel he shows his support for the LGBTQA+ community as all BTS do. I dont think he's part of it, but we may never know. Thanks, Dave, so grounded as always ❤

Considering Taehyung has did 3 TV shows, should show everyone how good he is and that he has a great personality. He was hilarious in Jinny's kitchen If he's interested in acting he has thebest set of friends feom the Wooga Squad, to Park Bogum to IU who was in the movie Dreamers with SoeJoon and Taehyung was at their premiere. I also read where at one time a Broadway Director said he would love to put Taehyung in a Musical. Not worried about his career. What is funny is if he looks sideways at a woman they get hate text, but now someone is saying he likes them all. Someone tell me when the man has time to look at anyone and he's not stupid he not going to risk his career or life on anyone right now. He said himself he's picky about his friends because of being used in the past for who he is. Just my opinion

In Blue MV video as my interpretation, V is trying to get inside the apartment because he is looking for his dog, the man he is chasing with so many keys in his waist is caretaker of that rows of apartment, and the girl who secretly release the dog maybe his ex girlfriend, the end.

V is very smart and don’t underrate him and his intelligence. He is giving us more and more hints, I mean a lot of hints, you can’t doubt anymore. I think there is a plan behind. I appreciate his courage. He’s showing us that there are many ways of coming out. He cannot cry out in South Korea “I am gay” but at the same time he don’t want to hide it forever! Although he can destroy his career, at the same time he is sooo powerful and can do a lot against the homophobia in South Korea/in Asia/in the World. At the end of the day, he is the one who will decide between career and life! 😊

It seems every BTS solo debut has had people saying it's their "coming out". Even if it was true, they wouldn't be doing it right before enlistment. That would just be putting a bigger target on them. As far as V following the man in the video, it looks like a maintenance man. V is looking for a key under the pot, presumably to get into his love interest's flat. The key isn't there. The maintenance man sees him, knowing that the person is gone & tries to hide from V so he doesn't have to get involved. V sees him & follows to find out where they went. Then gives up. Not alot of LBGTQ symbolism there (though the love interest remains anonymous). That being said, people will see what they want to see. Music is for interpretation... even if the story in the video doesn't show anything regarding the subject.

This is not the first time that members of BTS have positioned themselves as defenders of the LGBT community, which does not surprise me, regardless of their personal choices regarding their sexuality, in the entertainment industry and in everyday life many are part of the community. An artist should be appreciated for their talent, their sexual preferences are part of their private lives and should not be relevant. Breaking down barriers and combating discrimination against the LGBT community is something we should all defend. Every form of love is valid and must be respected. Taehyung's solo work is beautiful and timeless. About IU, I think it's beautiful to see the friendship between them and only those who live in an alternative reality believe that idols don't have friendships with women or any other gender. For a multicolored world and less blue and pink. Love from Brazil 💜

Perfectly said...V is known to everyone to be gentle, respectable...I believe from his perspective he is just trying to respect everyone irregardless of gender..no judgment. He was interacting amazingly with IU and its nice to watch them or any idols that comfortable interact with one another without putting hates or malice in their pure artist relationship. Some fans is putting too much pressure on the idols. 😢

Suga made two songs with IU: 28 and People Pt. 2. They even song together those on Palette. I think he is the closest to IU, because they are the same age. Most likely the others met her trough Suga, who is secretly a social butterfly.

71 year old Army here. Choi Woo-shik (of Tae's Wooga Squad) was the main character in the Academy Award Best Picture "Parasite", a Korean black comedy. Also, he was cast as the romantic lead in "Our Beloved Summer", a Kdrama. He shows versatility. Versatility is important in order to be cast in quality roles. I think V's performance in "Hwarang" showed very well how versatile he is. I think any director would be happy to cast him in a variety of roles, including a suspense thriller! All the members know IU or know of her from award shows and other events. The first album JK bought as a teenager was by IU and it is no secret he has a crush on her. He stated once that she is his "ideal type". He is shy around girls and usually runs the other way or sits as far away from her as he can get. When J-hope was on her show promoting "Jack In the Box", she stated she likes to help promote other idols. Maybe she will invite JK on her show when he releases his album. Would he go? Who knows? No big thing if he doesn't though. 💜

Slow Dancing kind of makes me think that he may have friends there with him but he is still lonely. Blue, if you know that the girl you was with is now going with him or something to that effect and the guy saw V and decided to go another way because he did not want to discuss anything. I am still going to wait and see what the guys say if they are gay or straight or whatever and not going to assume one way or the other. Right now they are men and will consider them as that.

All of V's new songs , if listened chronologicly are about the love that once was, his nostalgic feelings about it and I loved them. Only he knows who he is singing about and who he is. You're wrong about V taking small roles in acting. He's already known to have acting skill so anything he would do will have him as a main character. He didn't appear to be chasing a man in the Blue video, and his Slow Dancing he says "stop teasing me girl." I think he is part of the LGBT community, but nothing in his videos to his album suggest that.

i really appreciate this insight including your own perspective being in the LGBQT community. however Id really appreciate to learn (60 year old halmeoni here lol) what exactly are the gay coded symbolisms in Slow dancing. Obviously besides the “fruity” (is this a derogatory term?) one 😂. Im a kdrama addict and after watching Hwarang I became a V solo stan, then eventually a Taekooker then Army. I fell for all the guys and have followed them ever since. I have always posted to V in weverse that he should act again. Its in his blood. All the photoshoots and videos he’s bern involved in have an artistic flair unique to Tae. Obviously they have evolved with time. Working on a thriller would allow Tae to act without the pressure of pretending to have feelings for a girl if in fact he is gay. But he can’t do a BL movie/drama because homophobic koreans would try to cancel him. Thrillers are a perfect fit. Id love to see him in a part where he’s the apparent good/innocent guy but is actually the psychopath/serial killer 😂.

I think it’s not a surprise at all that BTS know IU and other female idols/singers being in the entertainment industry. It’s actually a problem to assume that you may not even look at BTS men or be anywhere near them without getting a lot of hate as a woman. As for TaeTae going into acting, I think he will be amazing in any genre of acting he choses to do…I don’t watch Korean dramas but I would definitely support him either way…🥰

Jk said his ideal type was IU the key word IDEAL TYPE( which could be anyone male/female with that personality/Characteristics). It was asked you like IU as a crush or you like her voice/talent JK said out of his mouth "Noo😅😅 HER VOICE & STYLE". Interesting video you've made, Dave. The MV "BLUE"...in my opinion (watched it closely 6 times now) Tae seems to be wandering around as he's worried about his dog Yeontan. Girl at the end of MV lets Yeontan go and runs to Tae. The man, he's a Janitor, has a big bunch of keys hanging from his belt. Can't see any connection to Tae being anything but straight in this MV. He and all other BTS members have always supported the LGBTQ community. I love the song and the MV. Tae always makes a great actor.

There was also the theory that for 'Slow Dancing', V was a scientist, who got sucked into another universe, and so he was creating a world where he had friends to spend time with. There's a lot, in the video to support that theory, even if the lyrics don't match up. With 'Blue', I figured he was chasing the guy, because the guy was coming out of his girlfriend's apartment, even though she never answered when he knocked on her door, and her spare key was gone.

It does take time to recognize differences in individuals of a group that isn’t your usual one. The comment about all Asian men looking feminine actually creeps me out. It’s like they can’t see an obvious, if elegant looking man right in front of them. Are we that constrained by gender? And why? Also, the whole LGBT scene has become something people who have nothing to do with it, or aren’t attracted to same sex people, are trying to politicize as extremely right or left. They seem to relentlessly pursue the outing of people who are obviously wanting to stay stealth. These are not allies and I’ve seen the damage to an individual forced to come out as trans because some group of fans could not see his artistic expression as a feeling every human has no matter. They wanted to use him as “their” spokesperson. Understandable but morally questionable. He gets to decide, not his fans. We are human first. Using a fellow human or a moment in time from an entire life as a cudgel is the opposite of love. It’s already bad enough people have to live unnaturally private lives. Artists need air, light and freedom of speech and action or their art suffers, if not now then in due time.

Я всегла чувствовала ,что ребята правильные и что у них есть женщины и может даже и дети . НО! У них контракты ,запад оплачивал и продолжает оплачивать. А там модно ЛГБТ СЬЁБЧЕСТВО. Так что на экран они бкдат изображать из себя ,то что им диктует контракт. А в жизни они другие. Их КОРЕЯ УЖЕ БЫ ЗАКИДАЛА КАМНЯМИ ЕСЛИ БЫ ОН БЫЛИ ИЗ ЗАДУ НАПЕРЕДОШГЫЕ.И увы не гордились бы ими. Миллионная консервативная страна таким не гордилась бы .Им бы все дороги позакрыли и вышвырнули из К Попа дааавно.

It occurs to me that Kim Taehyung does not need to extend his romantic quality. He could have the flu and still look amazing and inately express a handsome romantic. He could be a striking tough guy. South Korean singer-songwriter IU and actor Lee Jong-suk recently confirmed their relationship. How do people have time to be Sherlock Holmes with entertainers private lives? The Blue story is the idea of the man trying to connect with a former girlfriend. I felt he was there every day trying to get her to come to the door. The maintenence guy comes out sees it's the same guy and wants nothing to do with him. Later sitting on the swing, my thought was Tae was looking for her because she had his dog. When she puts the dog down it wastes no time running to Tae. It was hard for me to believe any woman would do that to Tae. But it's a wonderful MV. Sending love and light to all.

The chasing seen actually looks more like he caught his person cheating with that guy that was running. Or arrived early and his lover noticed and tell the guy to run so v doesn't see them, and v is familiar with the person his lover was cheating with hence why the person was running so they do not run into e/o as he would then know for sure the guy was with his person. This scenario makes more sense, and should be anyone's first thought

A little more resesrch Dave would be good. Do you not know that IU is dating very famous Hallyu actor Lee Jong-suk? Who has starred in dramas like Big mouth Pinocchio & W:two worlds. Dispatch revealed them sometime ago & they both confirmed the relationship. So no one will be shipping IU with Taehyung or Jungkook.😄

I take the lyrics with a pinch of salt from JK and V's latest songs, they did not compose or write the lyrics to these ones. So if the somg mentions a girl, it's just the song, not their personal words. Many huge LGBTQ singers...Elton, Freddie, George Michael etc have sung about heterosexual love in their careers, it is what sells to the mainstream.

i don t get it why people need to know the sexual oriontation of the idols, why should it matter. what can people do with that information, i m asking my self. every time there is some thing, people are to nosy and want to much information about some one else their privacy, why. and if they don t have that kind of information people make things up in their head and spread it around, why. i think we don t need all that information of some one else, if they want people to know then they tell it them selfs.

the t shirt is of Sid Vicious from the band Sex Pistols. He was the bassist who a had toxin relationship with a woman named Nancy in which he ended stabbing her to death, then he died of drugs. The t-shirt is of the infamous concert during the queen's jubilee where he tried to anger the queen and the monarchy and ruin her anniversary. Because of her bad governing of the country. Sorry just rambling. So, the T-shirt means nothing about his orientation. Probably means that he is a rebel or just a nice shirt. V has been seen wearing a lot of 80's inspired punk rock clothes.

It sad that BTS is always being Scrutinized. If their straight and are seen talking to any female friend or love interest, people are ready to destroy both BTS and the friend. If they are LGBTQ. People also show Hate. BTS gives so much not just talent. They give their life away to live a dream. And they pour all of Themselves into their talent so that we can find Happiness through them. We're so quick to not think before we act. We're so ready to persecute. I love BTS. Not because of their choices in love interest. But for the choice, they made to entertain us and save us from dark places with their music. Thank you, BTS I definitely appreciate what you have given to my life.
