I ran a CAT 966 and 980 for 4 years in a sand and gravel pit. It was pretty cool how accurate our scales were even on older machines. Just had to adjust for hydraulic oil Temps. The best story I had was a dude in a Tacoma who put wood sides on it and wood blocks between the frame and the axle of the pickup. He wanted me to put 3 tons of gravel on his truck. Needless to say he got about a ton and the sides almost fell off. I couldn't figure out how the truck didn't squat until I saw the 6x6's under the truck haha. Can't imagine driving that thing like that much less wanting the original weight. No way I was gonna put that much in there lol.

Sounds like a good ol 24 valve. Love those trucks. Those last forever and can pull a house as long as you keep the injection pump constantly fueled.

Rock wedged in the duals reminded me of hauling a load of lumber down a super narrow road along a canal in PA, and got a turtle wedged in the duals. Poor bugger didn't make it.

SC is the same when it comes to the shoulders. Many are about 6-12" and overgrown with grass. Doesn't take much to have a tire get sucked off the road. Especially not fun in the big boy trucks.

My 7.3ps going to be a new animal here in a couple weeks as im getting a kc300 63/70 turbo and new hpop since running 180cc injectors. I just got 16000 of topsoil (2 loads) using nieghbor friends dump trl. First load was 6000. Second load ended up 14k load. Um no the trl is 14k gvwr. Had to dump a bit off. I dumped it up a bit then paddled it off so everything wasnt in the rear. Ended up 10200 which at limit for trl. My trk towed ok except wasnt fueling proper with hpop code. Running a fresher e40d so gotta be careful

I hate letting my trailer tires get off the side of the road! There's a hole across the street from me...dang near every trailer hits it with a loud BANG! County puts in some gravel every now and then. It's on a curve and drivers are distracted and they drift to the outside...

I think with a modded 12 valve it would beat the reliability and drivability then a 6.7 vs living costs. Awesome to see the 6.7 to what it is now from the 5.9 but dinasours vs future I’d choose dinasours all the time
@mxcatkiller3 жыл бұрын
Yea I figure 12v completely rebuilt (right/quality parts) would out perform a brand new 6.7 in the long run…. At least you don’t need a computer to work on the 12v….
@VBELTandSON3 жыл бұрын
I say only thing that made a 12 valve so reliable was it 100% didn’t have power. I’ve got 335,000 miles on my 04 and no computer issues.

@@VBELTandSON 😭I agree unfortunately I can’t afford a néw truck but seeing your truck tow easily heavier up then hills motivates me to buy one I like how the 12 valve is like a amergeddon engine you can run it with cooking oil other fluids. As it’s all simplicity end cheaper mods for power with a p pump of course I got about 4 first gens and 1 2nd gen if you plan on selling that truck sometime id be very interested or maybe we can work a deal I’m also based in commiefornia 👌🏻 thanks 🙏

You certainly don't know Much a bout Kangaroos, nice to here , you using that, the showman Tents Outback many years ago, one would be for a boxing Kagaroo, the tent owner would put boxing gloves on the Roo, he would be in full boxing gear, with gloves , no mucking around. he would challenge others, to get in ring. The Laricans would have done if, for fun. Roos do box amongst themselves,it is natural, and the Poms, thought they did.

Try telling Karen in her Toyota POS about looking ahead so you don't have to come to a complete stop( a trick mostly old hands know). That is an old school truck driver to the younger viewers. It always takes longer to get back up to speed ,the more gears you have to go through. Also you are a big bully😂 Karan had to stop and rescue a snail or a ladybug.
