Flight Training - Camera angle and how it can mislead in FPV videos

Watching FPV videos of how pro pilots take lines on a race track can be a very misleading pass time and this video explains why what you see may not be what you think. A quick guide into interpreting what's going on when you can't see the pilots sticks.

Good point! Remember I had to use less yaw in Velocidrone in the beginning than in my real quad, because I was not going so fast IRL, therefor less tilt/camera angle = more more yaw needed :)

Great explanation too! I was trying to use all yaw in the beginning and now I use a little of both. Never really looked at the reason. Very helpful.

I'll watch everyone of these videos. I always learn something helpful. My 8 year old has been wanting to fly and the simulator is great for him playing around with out crashing my expensive toys😬

please add a warning on the camera mix angle to not be touched by beginners, i've made the mistake of changing that to 45 thinking it would be the quad camera then changed quad camera to 45 and i was getting totally reversed controls and trained with that for about 12-15 h and now i've found out about this and gotta train that many more hours to get back to the "normal controls"

Hi! I am very new to this FPV world - great video tutorial - Thanks for posting. I am trying to understand if the camera angle can be changed while in flight? Not necessarily for racing but for cinematic purposes? From your video I get a feeling that the angle is set prior taking off and it stays for the duration of flight.. did I get that right? Thanks!

that is correct, camera angles are fixed on racing and freestyle quads

please tell me what should be the settings of the quadrocopter so that it matches as much as possible in real life

there is no such thing as these settings - we don't know what your quad is, what motors it has, it's weight, what shape frame it is, how you have set your ESC settings, whether your battery is top or bottom mount. It is up to you to configure the settings yourself if you wish to make it like your own quad, nobody else can tell you what to set as they do not own your quad either.
