Why is the fitness industry so focused on "power training" bs. I feel like I'm born again watching these videos they make so much sense. It's force and time, get strong and get fast 💪🏃

That last point hit me hard. Never heard anyone say that. Ill admit ive been stuck in the, "train for power only so I can get better at sport without wasting time in gym" mentality for a couple years. And yes, ive gotten weaker. LOL...thanks man for the slap in the face😊

I've had this experience too where a program I followed had me do a "power" phase. I stopped getting stronger and I got slower. It was disappointing to say the least.

Clean work is fine with me. It's a personal choice when it comes to certain exercises.

doing so heavy trap bar jumps cant be good for the knees or foot can it? even vertical jump since the force produced takes much longer than in a normal jump or jumping with light weight

When he cleans 70kg he'll "throw the bar through the ceiling". If I clean with 70kg Ill injure myself lmaoo.

Also, i rarely do trap bar jumps. I am a weightlifter. I wonder if i add them sparingly, if ill, notice anything??? Measurable. Likely not

Maybe but unlikely

It’s hidden in this video, but your monologue exposes one of my least favourite crossfit cues: “jump during the clean.” Coaches seem to default to “jump” when teaching the clean when really they mean pull and transition explosively. You jump to hurdle something or reach a higher plane, not to clean.
@willratelle8027 Жыл бұрын
Yes, coaches cue to jump cuz it is helpful for people who are learning how to clean. But it isn’t actually a jump.

I don't remember who said it or if they were talking about you, but.... Your knowledge is unfuckwithable

Dumb comparison. Also oly lifts contain enormous rfd spike in 2nd pull which none other exercise has.
