so all these exercises are the strength version of the vertical jump, to jump even higher I should do plyometrics with my bodyweight or I can stick to this?

Do you think that we should try and jump about 6 inches to a foot off the ground or even just a few inches will do the trick for vert increases

It doesn't really matter that much as long as movement is done with Max intent and max output for every rep you make. For example you would jump maybe 6 inches with 50% of your 1rep Max, but you would jump 10 inches with 30% of your 1rep Max. But to jump very low like few inches, you probably would need weight that's too heavy for jumping with weights, and that would most likely be if you're beginner, so jumping with weights is not very advised at that level. You would need to build some base before that. You gotta play around with it to see what fits you the most and sometime change weight to get little different kind od stimulus.

Bilal Yilsidim he’s referring to your 1 RM (rep max). For example if your 1 RM lifting the trap bar deadlift is 100lbs, he was saying 70 - 80% of your 1RM. So 70lbs to 80lbs.

5x5 for low handle trap bar deadlift (strength) and 4x5 for trap bar jump (power) using 40% of your 1 rep max
