I was wondering how I’m meant to learn jump cancelling and distortion. I haven’t seen a tutorial on how to do it . And yes I’ve seen the anatomy of distortion video it didn’t help me for some reason. Was wondering if there’s any advice? I’m quite new to the game.

I know I'm late, but trickster is the easiest style to use in a first playthrough. I'd say use that when you can. And practice other styles in free open times.

Which version of DMC3 is this? Because during the taunts Dante says quotes I never heard in the game :/ and I played DMC3 (both special and normal edition) many and many times! Anyway you rock dude, trickster is my favourite style.

Each of the taunts are relative to the current style ranking you're at. For example: At SSStylish Dante will say "Let's start the party". At Sweet He will say "Hey, do your job". They all vary for every 2 styles. The first two, then the next two all the way up until SSStylish :)

It depends if Dante is shirtless then he will say different quotes and if he is not shirtless then you will hear the normal quotes

Idea on a old ass video lol: trickster never felt like it had any style to it yk? I mean Nero has dope ass table hopper that looks dope in both the games he's in, vergil in dmc 5 has that dope ass side step animation that gives him more concentration meter. Why not give dante something like that for trickster? Maybe even put eastereggs to the doppelganger style, where if he dodges at the last second then a doppelganger will come out and when the enemy hits it, it'll be stunned. That'd be pretty cool

trickster only starts getting fun at lv3, but god damm it is fun. still wish my pc wasnt a potato that runs the ubisoft port at 20 fps, that really takes the satisfaction of the game.

Its a hidden technique called jump cancel. U can cancel recovery frames by jumping off of the enemy after landing an air attack. U can try searching for a tutorial here on youtube for a more detailed explanation.

Decent amount of enemies spawn, also it has 2 good corners to shove the enemies into. Enemies don't attack unless they are visible on the screen. Just the most optimal level for showing off combos.
