Really interesting man. A warm-hearted and generous guy who seems to be as at peace with his faults and shortcomings as he is affirmative of his strengths. This makes him all the more attractive, and he comes across as grown-up, trustworthy and dependable. I know a short interview like this can’t reveal everything (why would it?) but Cliff gives such a mature account of himself that he can’t fail but to impress. Great interview, beautiful man. ❤️

I watched some of his videos where he talks about his childhood and stuff and I got the impression he may have a cluster b personality disorder. Very broken, emotionally unstable and traumatized guy. Narcissism evolves as a defense mechanism against abuse or neglect most of the time. Pathological narcissists have a condition that impairs the social neuronetworks of the brain. The very regions of the brain that handle how we relate, connect, empathize, manage our emotions, take accountability, reason (socially), inhibit impulses, and practice morality are dysfunctional in this population. There is no therapy that can improve that very complex set of social neuronetworks. You can not have a normal healthy relationship with these people at all and the only way to protect yourself and save your sanity is just stay away or go no contact. You will only be abused for trying to help. They can only pull you under with them, and many would love to do so as they are pathologically envious and they hate everybody, including themselves. They are just too arrested and dysfunctional. They have pathological thought processes, mindsets, behaviors and pathological emotional dysregulation. They generally lack empathy, lack impulse control, lack self-worth and the ability to create or regulate self-worth; they usually have difficulty with object permanency, object constancy, and whole object relations, there is usually severe identity disturbance..they cannot bond with other people, cannot trust others and is pathologically insecure. An insecurity on a fundamental level, where they don't feel safe. Unfortunately once they are created in childhood it's too late, they cannot be cured. They have the emotional control, understanding and capabilities of a toddler(or even younger) and are stuck there and the narcissistic wound left them with deep feelings of shame and self hatred that their narcissism is a defense mechanism against. hey did not develop the way they were supposed to. Their mind was too preoccupied with simple survival and as a result, their emotional capabilities are stuck in toddler survival mode. They've never matured or been able to move on. They've never learned to deal with loss, control their emotions, handle frustration or how to soothe themselves. They are egocentric and self centred in the most literal sense it can be said. Their perception is seen through the lense of emotions and they believe their feelings are facts. Their ability to reality test is basically non e existent at all their perception is just too affected. Their truth and reality changes with their mood. Narcissism is self-centeredness arising from the failure to distinguish the self from external objects. This means that the narcissists is unable to tell the difference between other people's feelings and their own, or to regulate their own internal emotionality instead of relying on others to do it for them. It is the result of arrested development, and indulgence can cause it just as much as other forms of abuse. The abuse is coming from inside them and has become a constant part of their inner dialogue. This is why they overreact to minor things, or misperceive things as intentionally offensive or hurtful. They aren't reacting to what is actually happening. They are reacting to that constant internal abuse and self-hatred. They never learn how to handle their emotions, self-soothe, deal with loss or disappointment and they learn to connect their worth to the actions of others. There is need to fill that boredom and void constantly and project and offload that negativity onto someone else because they cannot hold or process it themselves because it can lead to decompensation. To the narcissist, they are still in the abusive situation, under attack all the time. And in a way, they are. Their mind has never resolved the feelings of shame, self-hatred and worthlessness from when they were very young. They still experience these feelings as if the abuse is going on right now, and the abuse they heard still plays over and over in their minds. So now instead of coming from outside, the abuse is coming from inside and has become a constant part of their inner dialogue. This is why they overreact to minor things, or misperceive things as intentionally offensive or hurtful. They aren't reacting to what is actually happening. They are reacting to that constant internal abuse and self-hatred. It's sadly ironic that, for all their complicated and convoluted machinations designed to defend themselves against all of the abuse they believe they are experiencing, they aren't really escaping anything. They cannot escape the abuse because even though they don't realize it, it's coming from inside of them. .Their perception is colored by emotions they cannot regulate or understand (or even acknowledge), dysfunctional coping mechanisms that have become pathological thought processes and knee-jerk reactions, as well as deep-seated beliefs that are often extremely illogical. Many of them do not know that these things are true. The ego of narcissistic personalities is disordered, dysfunctional and deficient. It's dependent on the input from others in order to function. The ego is the part of us that speaks as "I." The ego is directly tied to our sense of self, our identity. In other words, among other things, narcissists are dependent on others to achieve or maintain a sense of self. Narcissistic supply is how the narcissistic personality continues to function to have any semblance of self worth they are unable to create due to their dysfunction and prevent they becoming suicidal due to their deep feelings of shame and self hatred that they suppress and deny and project. Their entire life is a desperate search for worth so they can stop themselves from bottoming out and becoming suicidal

It's always refreshing to see some of my favorite performers who actually have a good head on their shoulders, and are intelligent, and can carry a conversation. I've seen some of my favorite performers who are the full package, they're gorgeous looking, incredible body, great performers, but the moment they do an interview, they only give a one or two word answer, and they sound weak like a 1st grader who can barely talk. I've been a fan of Cliff's for over a decade. I'm happy to see him doing well again. He has one hell of a story to tell, and I'm proud to see how he's come out of it. I wish him nothing but success and good health.
