The answer to can you overload with the voidwalker is no, because both voidwalker's ability and overload are alternative casting costs, so you can only get one or the other, and you can't choose to cast it any other way with voidwalker.

The whole results oriented thing aside the very thing I was thinking about when you were deciding was what if they had Armageddon... IN HAND. By a pure math given they had 2 in hand and drew one you have 2/3 odds that it was already in hand making best play for that being mind twist. But even before that I had the feeling that they seemed to be focused on getting ahead on board... suggesting they setting up for Ravages so personally that was the biggest thing on my mind. Plus like as is board wasn't that lopsided so even if they did top deck something good probably clean house just the same
