I can't help but notice the increased durability and changes in physical characteristics is similar to the development of an elder mimic.

We should remember that meat snakes are harmless, being strict scavengers, so more than likely those bodies were already there because of WW2. It's not killing anyone, so it's not the cause, but a symptom of something else. Still though, it's phenomenal size means it ate A LOT of bodies, so something terrible must have happened in the tunnel to give it that much food. The cow skulls are are a bit of a mystery as well, as they must have been incorporated into the meat snake's body relatively late in life to not only be big enough to swallow the cows they came from but also have enough to be able to arrange them into a lamprey-like structure. How it managed to obtain the skulls is also a mystery, but it's possible that the people whose bodies the snake ate brought cows into the tunnel for some reason and they all died together, after which the meat snake found what was basically a buffet.

3:20 Seems to be some military person, and the events of the video take place after WWII, and with the meat creatures first appearing around the 1930s, make an interesting connection. At 3:21 is a map of the tunnel, I believe the censored part is where the corpses were. And then once again with the Prince Story. Two major events, interesting.

When blended, you can fit around 16 people into a cubic meter bumping the body count from 21972 to 58592

(note I'm watching the playlist in order so if theres anything after this that explains the meat snake I havent seen it yet) My theory for the meat snake is that one side of the war used the snake as body disposal. In the meat snake explanation video, it even mentioned that meat snakes were sometimes used for body cleanup. It might've been convenience at first but after a while someone powerful wanted to see just how big these meat snakes could get, so made it a designated body disposal. Over time it just kept growing to the point it couldn't move, it had become stuck in the tunnel. I've no ideas for how it escaped. Anyone else notice the striking similarity of the tissue sample to elder mimics? Maybe every carnis life form has an elder stage but usually only mimics reach it because they're the only active hunters.

Having watched some of the other videos, I remember something about "cult-like activity" which would explain how the meat snake was fed. If there was some kind of cult bringing corpses from WWII and other offerings- like cows, explaining the skulls in the maw- the meat snake would never have to waste energy moving, just growing and growing until it was stuck. Additionally, I remember someone pointing out in the crawl penne video's comments that Nutrire could be made of host spores, giving it mind control properties (since what else in this universe requires a gas mask to avoid?)- so hear me out, what if it's all connected? Maybe they're not the same organization specifically, but people who have figured out how to use Host spores- in this case, a Vita Carnis-worshipping cult- could have infected the scientists with the spores, making them leave the tunnel unattended for that 36ish hour period where they would all be drawn to a host. (Or maybe something else? If the mind control could be used to make people do or go to other things...) While it's hard to explain exactly how they did it, considering the meat snake's durability, that would have given the cult a solid period of time to remove and relocate the snake. Maybe that's a stretch but I thought it was an interesting possibility

I have a theory for this In the storybook pages, The “Prince” represents Vita Carnis. The “Creatures” are humanity. Most humans stayed away from Vita Carnis, But some wanted more. This was later formed into the cult that was referred to earlier. I think this Cult is gaining members by their “nutria” brand flavoring. I think they used a similar enzyme to the hosts inside of the flavoring to lure new members to the cult. This is further explained as the bottle has the same symbol we saw on the scientists suit. (I just couldn’t help but notice how the monoliths heads look like the symbol, but reversed.) I also think the “Singularity” is the true vita carnis that all the other species came from. The singularity probably represents the prince. I also saw that in a earlier video, there was this news article about how 400 trimmings gathered around a satillite dish. I remember one of the videos saying that the singularity can transmit radio waves and such. I think the singularity is communicating to the trimmings using the satellite dishes, And as people keep them as pets, I think the singularity is telling them to observe the humans behavior. Adding to that, I think the singularity is than using what it learned from the trimmings and communicating that to the mimics, harvesters, and hosts. So that they can wipe out humanity. So yeah thats my theory

Obviously, a meat snake that size needs sustenance to survive so i feel like that would be the reason why one day it was gone. The thing is, how did no one notice this GIANT meat snake leave if it was under investigation by a bunch of scientist? Hm. Have we even heard a word from them yet?

Most likely the meat snake managed to split into two individuals allowing them to free themselves from the tunnel and both went there separate ways. I believe this to be the case cause if it starved to death then it would still be there just dead. It’s the best theory I have.

After watching this video ive got a little theory Its about the norse mythology creature, jormungandr Since meat snakes can grow this huge, Im starting to believe that "the world serpent" is just a meat snake that ate a lot during the years and became enormous.

Got hooked watching this series today, easily my favorite since Monument Mythos! Despite some of the dangerous kinds of Vita Carnis we know to exist I can't help feel what's happening is something more "natural." Whatever came to Earth however long ago, if we go by the slow reveal of the children's story hidden in the frames, lost everything they knew and had to spend a very long time recovering to survive. I don't think what's happening is malicious, I think there's just a Prince who wants more than anything to go home. But if it can't, it's going to make a new home right here, with us, one way or another.

So, we know meat snakes are not aggressive, so we don't have to worry about the meat snake itself being out and about, but we do have to wonder what the heck kind of thing could have taken it out of the tunnel so abruptly.

This video just shows how gluttonous these scavengers can be. Normally, these oversized worms wear skulls as helmets to protect their sensitive mouths, but this is wearing *six* bovine skulls. But instead of them acting like a face, they are angled around the mouth and resemble teeth. It seems that its inert behavior and enhanced durability may be caused by the fact it is actually trying to digest the large amounts of corpses that it has been fed. Once it was finished, it likely underwent mitosis and left the tunnel.
