Yes Ced Gee & Ultramagnteic MC's were the first on record to fully use the "Synthetic Substition" song & drum breakbeat. The way Ced produced it (along with Keyboardist Money Mike on keys) set a standard and their awkward original rhyme style and switch was incomparable.

jijor assad let me be clear when I say this.... If you do not respect your past, you will have no idea of how to navigate the future! ALL of us “old heads” as you call it were once young. EVERYTHING revolves. So what you all do today, we did back when. There just was not cameras always around to document it. We lived by different codes back then. We didn’t advertise everything. Yes some of us made mistakes. Some continue to do so. Regardless, anyone coming up after us should be able to learn from it. Whether good or bad! You take bits and pieces of information from that. Even when someone you look up to continues to make mistakes. Use that as a guide for yourself so you don’t follow the same path or worse! For instance. You see many youth today drinking lean. When many years ago DJ Screw died because of his usage of that drink. Some rappers stopped, but you had others like Wayne that proceeded to take it to another level. He started advertising it in everything he did. Many young rappers coming up after Wayne have either died or overdosed because they were following Wayne. This is a prime example of how Wayne should have learned from the death of DJ Screw (and many others in that time as Wayne came up) that the usage of lean was not good for you and was life threatening every sip you take. So make sure you don’t fall into a similar trap of thinking you can’t learn from those older than you! Most of all, respect is a two way street! You want it, you MUST dish it out as well! If your parents never taught you this, I will. You should ALWAYS respect your elders! Whether they are right or wrong. They were on this earth long before you and went through ten times more than you have ever seen in your short time on earth. ALWAYS respect those that have laid the ground work for you to even be here! You may think someone you see making mistakes (in your eyes) is nothing, but you have no idea what they have contributed to the struggle along the way! So be mindful that no matter how much you may not wish to respect your elders, you should give it none the less!

Herc wasn't a rapper. The only mc who was actually rapping in those early days was Dj Hollywood from Harlem

One Eyed Man People keep overrating Tupac and Eminem and Biggie as the best rappers of all time when really the first rappers are the best rappers. In fact DJ Kool Herc or at least DJ Hollywood should be credited as being The Godfather and even first legends of hip hop.

Being the first doesn’t mean being the best. DJ Kool Herc may have been the first hip-hop DJ and has built the foundation, but other DJ’s/producers took what he did and perfected it.
