Training in Session 3 (Part 2 of 3)
I had to split Session 3 into 3 parts.
In this session, Little Mike shows us more on how he creates english while using the "Split the Difference" aiming system. He touches on stroking thru the ball, pivoting on the last stroke, swiping technique, the grip, throw shot, identifying the shots, preshot routine, and how to play safety.
I've been practicing these techniques and is starting to see improvements. I hope these video lessons help you as much as it helped me. Also check out some of my other videos which I am certain will help you with your game.
Check back from time to time and see my progress.

Yes it does playing English, and works like charm! Wow!! As long as the cut is less than 45⁰, the target ball is not too long from the cue ball. I'm amazed at how it work!!

I've been practicing this for the last few weeks and used it in my last 2 matches. Seems to be accurate, espescially for corner shots. I still miss some a bit badly at times but that's due to my stroke being inconsistent. I'm a 4-5 btw. One thing that I've noticed though is that my stroke has actually improved as I'm thinking less and more relaxed. I don't jump on shots nearly as much. I've now included into my practice routine of spending about a half hour shooting at points on the table other than at pockets. The reason is I'm not concerned about making a ball but only on finishing a smooth stroke shot with the tip of my cue about 4-6 inches past the cue ball. But again, thanks for the video

I also wanted to mention this as quoted from the "Little Book of Talent" it's a waste of time trying to correct bad habits, your time would be better spent learning new skills. The Little Book of Talent is the best little book on the planet that teaches a person how to learn. Best $15 I ever spent. Learning a new skill takes approx. 8 weeks. Hang in there Ken you'll reach your goals. It may take a year just try not to rush it and don't get disappointed.

I'm soooo confused. :( On a not quite straight shot; aim for the center then pivot to the 75 and fire. The pivot (English) obviously changes the direction of the object ball and down it goes. Yet it seems, on a straight shot you can pivot (English) and the object ball doesn't change and down it goes. Help!

Is split the difference getting right or left induced throw? Do you aim at a regular cut contact point or middle of object ball before splitting difference?

Ken, thanks for the videos. I thought that Mike was using BHE to apply spin. Not so. Watch his wrist on the final stroke, he is using what Buddy Hall calls Tuck and Roll. Buddy Hall has a video on KZfaq where he demonstrates his clock system. In that video he teaches Tuck and Roll. Once again, Thanks for the videos. Any pool player would benefit from the information you and Mike are releasing to the public. :)

The pre-shot routine dictates that you always line up to one of the standard points on the ball and then pivot. Can this also be applied to the edge-to-edge shots? It seems that these edge-to-edge shots disrupt your pre-shot routine (because there is no pivoting). Can you line up the center of your cue to the edge and then pivot out for these shots?
@FaDaVlogs
@FaDaVlogs 6 жыл бұрын
+drforty2 first question is yes. For edge to edge shots, just aim edge of cue ball to edge of object ball. No need for the other steps.

I revisit each of the sessions. I am having trouble with the 75 to horizon thou. If I'm coreect. 3 shot or 4 50-50 50 -75 STD. ALMOST STRAIGHT 75-EDGE / HORIZON EDGE OF CB TO OB Those are the options to identify

I just found these videos. I understand aim to the center, find 75, but I don't understand pivot or move to the edge. Can you show from the aimer to the cue ball perspective ?

As I understand in what is being said, I'm to line my back foot up as if I'm shooting a straight in shot from the cue ball to object ball. That is aimed at 50. To make a near straight shot I'm still down on my ball aimed at 50(dead center). Do I then pivot the tip of my cue to be aimed at 75 ? (or 87 which is between 75/edge for thinner cuts) ? A step by step of what you are seeing and doing as you address the ball would be helpful. I really do want to try this aiming system as right now I'm kind of guessing on ghost ball and still not able to progress beyond strong 4 weak 5. Mostly because of missed shot opportunities.

So... split the difference #2 … Line up center of the Cue Ball to 3/4 of object ball... then pivot 1/2 way to edge?... or to the edge?

@@FaDaVlogs center cue ball without using pívot?

When Mike is shooting, I can't actually distinguish how he pivots from 50 to 75%. When you are shooting, it's more obvious. I can see that you are pivoting from the back but also slightly adjusting your bridge hand to keep the cue at center ball. It's impossible to tell what Mike is doing...lol. Explanation of the 2nd split the difference? Did Mike say START and 75% then pivot to the edge? That seems different than aim for the horizon.

This type of aiming system is impressive on 7ft bar boxes, but is this system as effective on the big boys 9 footers? Yes, theoretically , it should work equally as well. So how about posting a session on a 9 foot table?

I love playing, who you refer to as "big boys", on the 7 ft tables. Especially the ones that think its so easy... Then you see them talking to themselves in between pulling their hair out because they can't handle and don't know what to do with all the clusters in the game. 8 Ball. Its a different beast my friend, BZ.

I use it on snooker table..even there it is accurate...the only 2 requirement is ..a) you need to find the point on the object ball accurately ..specially the "edge"...b) you need consistent dead-straight shot....

@@FaDaVlogs my doubt is that in 30 degree angle or horizon shot do you pivot starting from 75 and then center of cue ball or you starting from the middle cue ball and the moving to edge?
