Mr. Wonder got his first #1 Hit in 1963 at the age of thirteen. "Superstition" came out in 1972. :D I'm the luckiest "kid" you've ever met. I *graduated* in 1972 and this music is what I grew up with.

In 72 this was played endlessly on the juke box machine we had in my Jr High lunchroom. Surrattsville Jr High. This and Tears of a Clown.

So proud that Stevie is from Saginaw, MI. He is one of my favorite performers of all time! He's always seen more than those with actual eyesight. ❤❤❤

Saw the title & had to click. Such an awesome song by Stevie Wonder. That album was amazing, every single song. Must do rection to every song ! ‘If you believe in things you don’t understand, superstition’s ain’t the way’

Stevie Wonder is a unique talent, gifted pianist and Prolific songwriter. I saw him live in concert on a stool with wheels surrounded by two keyboards and a synthesizer. He played two of the keyboards at one time sitting in the middle of them and when he had to be assisted to walk off stage you were reminded the man is blind . He's a complete phenom.👍

In ‘72 this was played at everyone’s sock hops and basement dances. Been on the list since, must always be played at those late into the night summer outdoors parties, too. Standard of good taste, everywhere. Stevie makes you feel it.

I have always loved Stevie Wonder.. even back to his beginning when he was Little Stevie. My older sister introduced me to him way long ago. Ive only been disappointed in anything he has said or done, or sung as when he said he would never play in Florida again due to the 'stand your ground' law was actualized with a wvsb case.. I disagree with this opininion. However, I can still enjoy Stevie, even if he will no longer perform here. Im sorry Stevie... the law is the law, yet we still love you, respect you, and would love to see you.. If not, ok... much love xo

That last part was the first verse from the 2005 song "So What the Fuss" from the A Time 2 Love album. Stevie delved into rap a few times throughout the years, but he knows that is not his bread to butter. As far as the scatting, you can find other instances of him doing this in "Each Other's Throat" off the Jungle Fever album in 1991 where he has a rap break, then again in "Tomorrow Robin's Will Sing" and "Sensuous Whisper" feat. Anita Baker from the Conversation Peace album in 1995. If you want a real switch from what is "typical" Stevie, take a look at "Some Years Ago" and "Misrepresented People" from the Bamboozled soundtrack. No official videos, but the songs will definitely challenge your thoughts.

And when you realise that on the record Stevie played multiple instruments drums, keyboard and I think based or guitar. The only thing he didn’t play was the horns.
