I'd like to add something important. I have been listening to lots of vocalists in my life but the case of Angelina Jordan is really one of a kind. There were and are many outstanding female and male vocalists but for the first time in my life I heard someone, whose way of singing literally bypasses the whole discerning distance between my ears and the deepest spot of my soul. She seems not to care about how I perceive her singing in the way which we usually use categorizing what gets to our ears. She actually is getting directly to our hearts and apparently touches many of our feelings, memories, desires, fears and hopes. It's a heart to heart talk. Very much intimate and consoling. I don't exaggerate. Look at the faces of people who listen to her. They are often taken by surprise not only admiring Angelina's talent but being astonished that she is - gently, as a graceful and respectful Angel - getting into our most intimate places... and we surrender to her presence there. In my opinion it is not a by chance that she came to us in the very difficult time where all the lockdowns made us very vulnerable. Of course I know the story about her being barefoot but in this context she behaves like she would very much respect our feelings and enters even without shoes as to not make too much noise. Because things deep down on our hearts are of a very fragile nature and she does indeed respect it. After such a visit we stand surprised, comforted, often strenghtened but first of all heard and grateful.

She wrote about the incident in her journal (she has written in her journal since she could hold a pen), three years later she was encouraged to write a book about this experience. It was illustrated by her grandmother Mery, titled “Between two hearts”, she became the youngest ever published author in Norway. I purchased the ebook and it brings me to tears every time I read it! The fact that she's 9 years old here only confirms your "Old Soul" comment. At this point she'd won Norway's Got Talent, appeared on nationwide TV in the US, been interviewed on televised talk shows, and performed before live audiences numbering in the thousands. She was already a more successful vocal artist than most singers will ever be. Today, in addition to having released an album of (mostly) covers and an EP of originals, she's had her first couple of shows in Las Vegas. She signed w/Republic Records at 14 and is now working on an album of originals with Toby Gad.

So if you want to hear her most recent stuff, do either If I Were A Boy or Bad Valentine, her most recent and yet unreleased original, next. Beware, that there are several videos showing her in a recording booth at allegedly age 6, but where it is very likely that those were only done in spring 2013, when she has been 7 already. How good is she? Angelina is, simply, the best singer I’ve ever heard. Yes, she has immense talent like Michael, but Angelina covers so many more genres as authentically as you heard today (her own arrangement, by the way). It doesn’t matter what you choose next: any title, any age, any genre. She takes on the best singers singing their best songs, and most times you’ll like Angelina’s version better: Elvis, Adele, Sinatra (Frank and Nancy), Whitney, Patsy, Elton, Queen… And her original songwriting is so personal and heartfelt. I Put a Spell on You is like getting thrown into the deep end of the pool, but it’s a rite of passage for Angelina newbies. Perhaps the best live vocal I’ve ever heard is her cover of Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT. She’s 13 for that, and of course it’s her own arrangement.

She does not appear with shoes when it is her performance when she is invited to one place or another as a guest, you may see her with shoes but most of the time she is on stage without shoes at all, enjoy yourself and the more you hear and see her, you will continue to be in the market like the rest of us and I have been listening to her for 6 years now🦶🦶👑🗣🎙🎷

It's almost as hard to believe that people in the industry are only discovering her. ! You've done Lara, now Angelina, perhaps next is the newer sensation Ren, particuarly for his songwriting, storytelling, various genres, and producing and filming in one take.

According to a comment posted by another “Angel”, when she participated in a tribute (birthday?) concert for Quincy Jones a few years back, he told her that the last young artist he had encountered with her talent and potential was… Michael Jackson.

Mind you, this is her own arrangement that honors Screaming Jay, hence the candle at the beginning. She's reading the lyrics when in the booth. She does her own arrangements, even rewrites songs (Amy Winehouse for instance) to be more age appropriate. Her winnings from NGT, she donated it to charity, by the time she was 12, she helped raise over $21 million Euros for charities. She does How Great Thou Art in a register as low if not lower than Elvis, when he sang it.

With this you guys seen a big part of Angelina. Yet there is still much more capabilities. This performance is one of the reasons why we as fans think she is the best since Michael Jackson. Michael was mostly Pop, Angelina can do much more than just Jazz, which is what makes her even better than Michael in my opinion. These are all prodigies destined to become legends like Michael became.

You guys are fortunate to have discovered her now. She is poised to blow up in late 2024, 2025 so you get to say you knew her “when.” I’m sure others will suggest you listen to “Bad Valentine,” a collaboration with Toby Gad that will be released in a couple of months. I think it’s her 18-year-old version of I Put a Spell on You and if marketed correctly, will rocket her to the top - where she belongs. There is so much in her catalog for you to explore to watch the exponential growth of this once in a generation prodigy. Her family has nurtured her gifts, brilliantly, allowing her Angel fans access into her growth while protecting her from exploitation. I am so very grateful for that.
