When you're apologizing for rewinding the video, don't forget that the vast, vast majority of people watching your reaction to a video, particularly by someone like Dimash, have already seen the video, and probably multiple times. I don't think any of them are going to mind having to watch the particularly wow-worthy moments another time or two (or three or four) :) I know I don't mind - it's great seeing your appreciation for his talent!

Video is 19min already... You are listening it for the very first time. What kills - how can one chop and kill a song and her/his first experience with this stops and rewinds on so random times. 19min - pay a tribute, listen fully first time - them be kind to explain everything you've just experienced. Pfff...

Please, promise to keep stopping and replaying all you want. If someone wants to watch someone with their mouth open and no stopping, there are 100's of reactions to Dimash they can watch. But we are here to watch someone that knows something about singing tell us in a very entertaining way what is going on, and I don't even sing. You are right, that is not his whistle, that's just his E-zy6. You should watch Autumn Strong (Singer 17) and Hello (Singer 18) next, though if you love Freddie Mercury, hard to pass on The Show Must Go On (Singer 17), just don't be too harsh on his English in that one. He had a great concert back in 2017 in Bastia, Day Break and Daidia are must see.

yes, his tongue is moving...someone said it's because his face/mouth is so relaxed his vocal chords are moving it...sure I didn't get that exactly right and the original does not sound like this, Dimash himself redid it, so the hum was him. Ty for the lovely happy reaction ❤️❤️💛💙🇰🇿 and the arabic sound was a sort of prayer/dedication for the original lead singer of the band he's playing with who has passed away❤️💙💛🇰🇿🤘

There is a glitch free version of this song on youtube. Also that yodeling is called a caprino, Italian for goat. It's native to his country and region. Also, that 23 second one breath run!
@johansvideor
@johansvideor Жыл бұрын
It's not called caprino, can you show a source for that? According to hearsay, Dimash's father told that he is doing this kind of yodeling inspired by Yakut ethnic singing (just compare to some Yakut singers on youtube, e.g. Lioudmila Khandi). It's not exactly native to Kazakhstan, even if this type of singing exists in many ethnic regions around the world (look up yodeling on Wikipedia).

Hey Bethany thanks again for such a stunning educational reaction video. Stop all you want I don't think any "Dears" will complain. Dimash confounds most vocal coaches and music teachers all the time with his Vocal acrobatics. What amazes me is how he is getting better with age. Keep going so much more to see and hear from this Vocal Genius. Genetics and 20+ years of 3 hours a day you get a vocalist Called Dimash. To many accolades to write here so keep smiling we all (Dears) would love to hear more.

Yes, he is normally in head voice when he is up high. But he does have an assortment of whistle notes, all the way up to his Off the piano D8 during the Gakku performance of his own song Unforgettable Day. The audience at Gakku was 155 thousand!! Since you mentioned his concerts, they go for a minimum of 2 hours and 40 minutes. 🎶👱‍♀️👗👠👠💓

One vocal coach identified the section with the fluttering voice as "caprino", a technique that should normally be avoided in classical singing, but that is part of some ethnic singing styles, and present in the Kazakh singing tradition. Another vocal coach regarded the 24 second phrase in one breath with the slide, and the crazy soul-like melismas as "the best 24 seconds of singing ever sung". I agree with you that the highest note in this piece was still head voice / falsetto, about the highest he can get in this register. To hear Dimash's whistle note, you have to watch "Unforgettable Day" or "Drunken Concubine + Diva Dance" in a duet with Beijing Opera singer Li Yugang at the Shanghai Spring Festival Gala.

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato,whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. I love your reactions to Dimash, you are so into what he does, and as he never stops increasing his skill set he will always amaze you. I hadn’t realised you’d only heard four tracks. Can I suggest a couple for where to go next? Olympico - operatic tour de force (use Arnau version from Igor Krutoy’s channel)! Unforgettable Day from Gakku- his own composition, heart warming audience interaction and you’ll hear his whistle. And you are correct that he was in head voice in todays song. Diva dance - Bastau. The unsingable song from the movie 5th Element, created to be beyond human abilities. Hmmm. Well, many believe he’s at least part alien so 🤷🏼‍♀️. Samaltau - Tokyo Jazz Festival. Kazakh folk song. Stripped back, two musicians and himself in a studio, unbelievably beautiful vocals. Honestly any song will do, but these have that something extra that makes them extraordinary. Happy Dimash day. May there be many more!

I agree-it really sounds like he’s still in head voice clear up into the 6th octave. (If you really want to hear OBVIOUS whistle from him, listen to his duet with Li Yugang, singing Drinken Concubine/Diva Dance, or Unforgettable Day. ) And every time I hear this song I start feeling like I’m getting blue when he finishes that long run-I think I hold my breath when he is singing. Great reaction! I love seeing singers and vocal coaches react to Dimash because ya’ll know what it takes to do what he’s doing.

His tongue was indeed moving/vibrating. You can also see him do this in other performances, like at the 3:30 timemark during his performance of Ikanaide (which you should react to next).. If possible , I recommend watching all his performances on a very large TV screen. A computer screen, especially a laptop screen won’t cut it when it comes to Dimash. Because especially if you want to see close up of what he does with his tongue or throat , the biggest screen will be your best tool. And when you watch this performance and also the Ikanaide performance that I mentioned, on a large screen, you’re going to see clearly how his tongue vibrates at some points even when his mouth is barely open.

@@tinki50 Hey Turi, I really appreciate your quick response. Also checked out your page. Sorry fell asleep from it! 👍🏻 good job. Also I’ll remember not to give an honest opinion to a highly qualified teacher as she is. It was just my little old opinion. She’s a professional and probably not as sensitive as you seem to be. Take care and keep losing listeners for her. I had originally subscribed. 🤷🏻‍♂️

As much as I’m impressed with his high notes it’s the low notes that always gets me. His voice is clear and clean. Absolutely powerful and he is a master of manipulating his voice. A vocal genius

I call that one portion of the song the "best 27 seconds in music ever". One of my favorite parts of your reaction is: You - OK You know I love the sound he is about to make... Me - Ha, You have NO idea what's coming... and then your face when it does lol

Have you watched him sing Adagio? At the beginning, his whole assembly was vibrating, and later when he was standing. Also in Opera 2. I think, that because of criticism, he has controlled it since then. But his resonance must start at his diaphragm, and it is like a tremolo. Beautiful to behold…I miss it.

Hahah he didn't cut out. He was out of air at the end of that climax. 😃 Btw, that is really still a head voice for him. His whistle starts in 7th octave somewhere. Listen for his F#7 (Drunken concubine duet). Or D8 at Unforgettable Day (gakku concert).
