The fact that the author of "Shatterpoint" had to basically putting Windu through various kind of injuries to have Depa defeat him speak volume about his capability as a fighter.

"Force wakes up". Lol Typo? From the looks of it, R2 should win solidly. However, we don't yet know what BB-8's capable of. It does look like he set off an explosion in one of the trailers. It just the way he looks at it.

Correct, but that's when he was much older. As a younger man he was more combat oriented, more about the now, rather than the cerebral. But this make sense. All Old Ben Kenobi could do was meditate, so these sorts of abilities would come about, just like his ability to make a perfect Krayt dragon call. Also, same seems to be the case for Ahsoka Tano in Rebels. The producers said that she has grown more spiritual over her fifteen years since the Clone Wars. A lot of time on your own, without continuous battle, seems to do that.

I like Legends Depa over Canon Depa. I thought her Legends story was one of the better ones. For anyone who enjoys Star Wars novels, I highly suggest you read Shatterpoint! I thought it was an excellent book!

@@dazdavis7896 Nope, not legends Ashoka not even Legends Maul. Even in Legends somehow Palpatine returned and possessed Luke to be become evil. Plus a slight mistake by Obi Wan during the Purge somehow lead to another purge half a century later where the Jedi were again fugitives by Darth Krayt.

Depa Billaba is actually one of my favorite Jedi, along with Shaak Ti, Kit Fisto, Luminara Unduli, and Jocasta Nu. It would be interesting to see a short Versus video of someone like Jocasta Nu versus Tera Sinube.

Antoine Bandele Well perhaps, but Jocasta Nu is one of the few examples of what a non-combative Jedi might look like. Almost every other Jedi we see is fighting in a battle or discussing mission tactics. Thats great and all for a movie or TV show that needs to draw and keep your attention but I'm an active RPer and I love RPing in the Star Wars universe, Jedi like Jocasta Nu, Tera Sinube, Rachi Sitra, and Cilghal are vital to painting an accurate picture when attempting to play as a non-combative Jedi. Master Nu was a teacher, Master Sinube a criminal investigator, Sitra an archaeologist, and Cilghal a healer. Each were prominent members of the Jedi Order, two of whom sat on their respective Jedi High Councils. For the most part my favorite Jedi are based on their backstories and personality, not their combative or tactical skills and abilities. Sorry for the mini-rant, I'm enthusiastic :P PS. I love listening to your versus videos while I'm writing or working on something, they always seem to give me ideas or help me work around my RP characters' flaws, you've literally save their lives more then once.

Antoine, wonderful, as always. Depa B. has always been one of my favorites. In my opinion she made Mace (also one of my favorites) appear to be human, a relate able character. A really great job. Thank-you, Dante.

I completely agree with Depa making Mace a human being. He cared for her so, so much. Shatterpoint was a very emotional experience for me. It's like seeing your daughter, the one you appreciated the most ... just fall, and fall hard.

Great, this is the best character background review i've seen. The overall video was great too. Really nothing to complain about. It was visually very nice, it was interesting and not too long (as some do it) making it so easy to watch. I guess i can say it's my new favorite one. And good job bringing new light to this somewhat shadowy character (meaning Depa). What about KI-Adi - initially i had not much interest in him but lately i've gotten more curious about him and this video made me grow more interest in him. A good job indeed.

*Before watching video* AHHHHH, this is going to be so sweet! These are two of my favorite Prequel Era Jedi, up there with Obi-Wan, Agen Kolar, Kit Fisto, and several other notable figures. *After watching video* I like how you named a lot of the sources the pictures came from. That's really cool and is a nice touch to the presentation side of the video. One of your finest VS videos to date in terms of presentation, editing, script, and voice over. A truly "career-defining" video much like Mace Windu vs Anakin Skywalker but with lesser known combatants. All points were very well-reasoned and I'm still on the fence about the verdict but it was a phenomenal video nonetheless. Well done Antoine.

Vincent Escolano Barris is about equal with Ashoka, but anakin is in adifferent league to luminara. Anakin and Ashoka win easily

While I would agree with your statements about Ahsoka and Barris being equal and Anakin above Luminara, the big difference would be the team work. Barris and Luminara worked as a cohesive unit which is something I don't think Anakin and Ahsoka ever achieved. Other than Asajj Ventress early on Anakin and Ahsoka never fought a lightsaber duel together. I feel like the two where too independent fighters to work together as cohesively as Unduli and Offee, so I do think it would be an interesting fight with no clear winner

Hey, Antoine Bandele. This was an awesome on. I never realized how amazing Depa Billaba was. Just amazing. I must say your next match-up between Ryan Wieber and Shane Farley will be interesting, even though they're not a part of the Star Wars universe. In fact, I was thinking of another match-up I came up with not so long ago. The match up is Tyber Zann vs Han Solo. A battle between the crime lord and the smuggler. This another one I think you should really do besides Kyle Katarn vs Obi-wan kenobi, and Lucius Malfoy vs The Grand Inquisitor. BTW Your bloopers at the end were so hilarious. LOL!

+The Batman Of Neo-Gotham Darth Maul vs. Quinlan Vos: It depends on which voss if its EU Voss he will lose pretty bad but dark side canon voss would stomp Maul Ahsoka Tano vs. Maris Brood: i dont think Brood has any feats aside from her fight with starkiller where she got wrecked. Ahsoka has far more feats so id say she takes it. as its hard to gauge how powerful brood is form that one fight. General Grievous vs. General Pong Krell: grievous was able to hold his own against obi wan ,kit fisto and eath koth ,krell was just some jedi master greivous wins pretty hard. Boba Fett vs. Captain Rex: Boba has far better weapons and armour even if their skill is similar Boba should stomp because of that. Yoda vs. Revan: Yoda is leagues above revan Yoda stomps Darth Plagueis vs. Darth Sidious sidious at his peak is think was stated ot be more powerful than plageuis but at the time when sidious killed him plageuis was superior

A great matchup Antoine, an excellent analysis of both characters. Ki-Adi may be my favourite but I don't disagree with the outcome. I found it ironic that the Jedi Guardian won the Force abilities round while the Consular won the duelling round haha, never saw that one coming. And that blooper reel was hilarious 😂

It sort of make sense for Guardian. In terms of combative Force powers, Guardians usually do have an upperhand. Consulars are often related to more esoteric Force abilities. But yes it is interesting, especially Depa's technique with her blade.

Yeah it's nice doing analysis of the non-high-profile characters. Also, I think it's a step up to include the sources I refer to throughout the video. That way folks can create their own opinion rather than saying ... well Antoine said this, or that. Rather, I would prefer if someone looked as one of the citations and said. Hmmm, I should read that comic/novel myself and see if I agree.

interesting concept but if you've read up on darth krayt you'd know he wipe the floor with ki adi mundi. darth krayt is among the few people in star wars that could and would defeat darth sidious.

Yeah lol I was surprised that no one had used them until now. Especially Ki-adi to me. He's always intrigued me cause if u just take his film appearances at face value he looks like he's #3 on the council.

Antoine only uses ROTJ Luke and while I think he downplays Luke as a fighter I don't think Luke has a realistic chance against Mace as hard fought a fight it would be, Luke's inexperience really matters against Mace because as soon as Luke pegs Mace, Mace changes and adapts leaving Luke guessing again, Mace is also really good at marathon fights so that critical advantage Luke needs to win wouldn't be enough. Sure if Luke survived the fight and could ponder for a while and have a rematch he would stomp Mace but that is not how these matches work.

Redpoppy Ok, he wouldn't stomp Mace, but for me, his refined and calmed style, along with his Force Rage (Which is excessively powerful) would beat Mace.

+Balta Skywalker Problem number 2. Antoine doesn't take the Force Rage into account in Luke's fights because it is not something ROTJ Luke can call on at will based on Legends canon and the ROTJ novel in which Luke only uses Force Rage because of specific plot elements, not something a random stranger would trigger. I agree wholeheartedly that with Force Rage Luke would beat Mace but that is a non factor. I LOVE his refined and serene style, I think Luke takes Obi-Wan's swordsmanship to levels Obi-wan never could, even ROTJ Luke. But Mace has DECADES of experience under his belt, mastery of a form HE INVENTED and 6 other fighting styles if things go sour on Mace. Vaapad is alien territory for Luke so his lack of experience means holes in Luke's defense that Mace would exploit and win. I am on your side, I think ROTJ Luke is very unappreciated even without Force Rage but I don't see how Luke beats Mace consistently.

Most of your vids are about the boys, how about showing us girls some love. Maybe Satele Shan vs Mara Jade (Jedi or Sith), Ahsoka vs Jaina Solo, Satele Shan vs Zannah, Ahsoka vs Zannah, Zannah vs Mara Jade, Nomi Sunrider vs Satele Shan! ohhh Satele Shan vs Kreia!!! As far as I’ve seen you haven’t done any with Mara Jade, very few with Satele, and most of the Ahsoka ones are against males. Let’s see how the ladies do!!

Thomas Parkin In ROTS, he bent the plasma of a lightsaber back. IN Dark EMpie, he vaporized the hilt of the lightsaber which bassically mean no more lightsaber for you in this fight.

Antoine Bandele Imagine how Depa would fare against the likes of the ever-improving Asajj Ventress, or the calculating Darth Maul, or the Chosen One. Those would make good future match-ups. What do you say to that? Also, Depa wasn't Mace's _only_ Padawan. Better look up Devan For'deschel, Echuu Shen-Jon, and Darrus Jeht.

I'd like to see Depa Billaba vs Obi-Wan Kenobi. She was a primarily offensive fighter, who had defensive skills, whereas Obi-Wan was the greatest Soresu Master of all time. Plus, neither of them used the Force in the middle of combat as much as other Jedi or Sith, instead letting it use them. I think it would be really cool to see.

I'm not sure. Possibly, but aside from Mace, Depa Billaba was the only person to master Vaapad, and her combination of both it and Soresu could potentially allow her to contend with Obi-Wan.

@@FallenOne669 Legends Depa vs Obi Wan would have been a great duel. However, it's never acknowledged that Depa trained in Vaapad. I believe she was still trained by Windu. It's said tho that she used Form III. That's how the Grand Inquisitor knew Kanan's form and who his Master was. I'm don't believe the was trained in Vaapad. That's why I like Legends Depa way more than Canon Depa. I am not sure on this tho. The video is really confusing. He gives both Legends and Canon versions Depa. This is his only video I've had a problem with. It's really confusing honestly. If it's straight Canon,I believe Mundi takes this fight most of the time. If it's Legends, then I say Depa wins most of the time.

Scare me, in that with the inclusion of new cannon things it made me worried that soon you'd stop including Legends cannon stuff in your videos altogether. That is not the case at ALL. In fact, when and if I use Kanan, I expect his first match up would be against Xanatos. Right now, I think they are on par. But if Kanan has some better showings going forward, not so much. But it's too soon to use someone like Kanan.

It's very true. She too went through much of the same hardship Mace did ... but for months. Granted, she did not have a lightsaber wound through the gut or half of her neck eaten out. Yeah next vid is always hinted at the end.

You know, I think a battle between Yaddle and some one like, say, Ventress or Maul would be an awesome fight. Also, I love how you make it seem like your going to give one person the edge, and then just swing it around and logic your way into giving it to the other fighter. It's freaking cool.

hi there, im a really big fan of your star wars versus series and really love the few cross over episodes you've done as well, anyway, ive been playing swtor a lot lately, you know the online one, its got me thinking, would it be possible to do some versus battles with characters from that game? it might be hard to do but it would be cool to see the players accomplishments as a sith warrior in the game stacked up against some other characters in star wars, it might be easy just to look up the full story line of what ever character you might do, if you do.
