It looks like it's based on a Fijian style of club called a sali. The patterning also suggests the manufacturer is inspired by Pacific Island fighting clubs. Fun fact: the gaffi stick in Star Wars (seen most recently in Boba Fett's hands in The Mandalorian) is based on another style of Fijian war club called a totokia.

That is a cool looking piece! Vulpes makes tomahawk trainers for our live blades-his work is excellent-his trainers weigh within an ounce of weight to our Backripper and Empress tomahawks. Also, since you like warclubs, we are coming out with a wearable one based on historic ball headed warclubs. Posted a couple of videos on KZfaq shorts.

It looks a bit like a metallic version of an Irish "Hurl" or "Hurley Stick" which is used in one of the oldest (3000 years) field games in the world; an Irish sport known as "Hurling" which is still massively popular in Ireland to this day.

It does look like a hurley. No better sport to watch, fastest game played on grass in the world. I love all the ancient stories about Cu Cuchlainn and his hurling exploits. It was banned by the British many times, but remains massively popular. I often bring a hurley with me when walking the dog. You can hit the ball for the dog to fetch. And it’s one of the few self defence weapons you can carry without the Gardai arresting you on sight.

Can u do a rouge fitness kettlebell unboxing? A 203 pounder or even or lower but at least 106 pounds ?the heveyist you can go and still do monster lifts and inside circles and outside circles and windmills and get ups with. Stuff like inside clean to rack squat to thruster to overhead squat. And outside clean to rack squat to thruster to overhead squat. Pendulum swings inside and out .dead lifts anchors. Suitcase deadlifts suitcase carries ,rack carries and maybe over head carries.and press and bent press .

@MarkWildman
@MarkWildman 2 жыл бұрын
Not unless someone sends me one. I am extraordinarily skeptical that anyone can effectively do inside or outside circles above 106 lbs. guys do TGU’s well above that and bent presses. But circles are a whole different monster. I’m sure it possible but only if the handle geometry is good enough for a good catch. There was one pair of 56 k competition kettlebells fedorenko made like, 14 years ago, but I think they were made with yellow cake.
@MarkWildman
@MarkWildman 2 жыл бұрын
I’m sure someone could build up to inside and outside circles if they could get access to 1 kg jumps in weight above 32 kg. But circles are an incredible amount of shearing force with weights that big. But you would start with cleans Then outside dead clean Then inside dead clean Then outside swing clean Then inside swing clean Then… if you survive those. Move toward circles

@@MarkWildman without trying it I assume my upper limit for learning the movement really quickly is 56kg or even possiblity 150 pounds . But if I can even snatch 100kg and then do it get down to get up to reverse press to 10 rack squats or something like that I'll be extremely happy. Or even one overhead squat or wind mill and I'm bound to be able to do one of these movements more then once . #Not trying to break my shoulder

That “funny looking wishbone stick” was used to club you, and then pin your neck to the ground and snap it before you ended up being dragged off to be eaten, leaving you looking pretty funny … so in trained hands it’s totally adequate. While that particular example he’s showing here is not the best replication of the real thing, calling a sacred Fijian weapon a funny looking wishbone stick is nothing short of disrespectful to the Fijian people. Your “realist” claim is very ignorant to say the least… and there is a reason Fiji was feared as the cannibal isles for centuries…. Because, those “funny looking wishbone sticks” as you call them, actually work very well… realistically… and had you been around when they were being used on a daily basis in Fiji, a person with an attitude that you have shown would swiftly end up on the wrong end of a demonstration of that weapon… mind your manners
