As most of you know, galgos (Spanish greyhounds) are hunting dogs usually treated terribly by their owners. We are trying to rescue one, but… things have become complicated. Id take the dog! Its horrible if you report him theyll only kill the dogs. The laws need to be changed. They should have a chance for a good home just like other dogs. That man is disgusting a staving dog, and his fat belly hanging out. If you didnt know about the dog, but now you do you cant just leave it there. I get so angry at these evil people. Maybe hell let the others out at night too, so you can get them one by one.

Get the man in a van, take him somewhere and starve him until he begs for food. Put his 'photo up around the neighbourhood and shame him. Or set an aggressive dog on him one dark night!

I strongly agree with you. Isn't there a way for the veterenarians, the rescue teams, the community officials, and the international animal association get together to work on a plan on how to save and take care of these beautiful creatures?

That owner needs to be reported to authorities abuse , neglect is not okay ! He needs to be jailed no food, water minimal , fined , and rehab at a she,tor for one year and they will think twice before they attempt to be cruel to another pet or animal ! I belong to a grehound rescue group here in the States. I have lost count of the number of greyhounds I have adoped. It breaks my heart to see what happens to these magnifient loving dogs.

I watch these videos and I can feel these poor abused animals weeping inside at the touch of love. They want it desperately but trust is broken. Then, one day it connects and it beautiful!! Sometimes think those who abuse animals and children should have to endure the abuse they inflict on animals and children.

I have had a couple of Greyhounds of the track and they make wonderful pets.. Viktor is right they laze around the house most of the time but when you take them out WOW. I live on a farm with 100 acres plus the moors / fells are behind me for miles and miles and she can run but she does a mad dash when she comes out me then she comes back to the other dogs my German Shepherd and my short coated Collie both also rescues and just walks with them until the walk is over then she back on the couch…..

Unfortunately they don't just free the dogs. At the end of hunt season the dogs are killed in the most cruel manner that the owner can think of

After she got to her foster home, she was constantly looking around for the bad man....he probably punished her for eating or everything for that matter. It takes awhile to decompress....she probably hadn't slept peacefully for months and months. Bless you All❤

Desde Montevideo Uruguay, me duele mucho el desprecio que tienen en España por los galgos y podencos. Amo esa raza tímida y amorosa, ojalá logren una ley que los proteja del maltrato. When the "owner" is known it must be reported to the Police to answer for animal cruelty and also for being financially responsible to the 2:42 rescue shelter veterinary exams medication vaccines food and so on till a permanent home is found. That must be done to set example of the consequences on animal cruelty. The local government is responsible for the protection and well being of all animals.

Shes so beautiful. My Stanley is a rescue and he is a Whippet. As you know, a smaller cousin of the Greyhound. He is built very similar to her. He is now 16 years old and still fast as lightning! He is a very high jumper and can be an escape artist if you dont take him for his walks. He is the most amazing dog I have ever had. I have always loved the greyhound family of dogs. They have hearts of gold!

I'm in England and have 2 galgos from a rescue in Portugal. One girl has suffered awful trauma and is very nervous even after having her for 3 years. I dread to think what happened to her and have seen videos of the state she was in. Kept in a stable with 17 others and starved and definitely beaten. I will look after her forever and she's got a warm bed and 5 different coats to wear. My other galgo is confident and so happy and bouncy and I've had her for 6 years now. I adore my girls and would recommend a galgo to anyone. They are both like cats and love sleeping. Thanks for all you do with the beautiful hounds over there. Much love from Liz and Jenny and Nola ❤

a neighbour of mine has 2 rescue greyhounds, one had 3 broken legs, however they now have a happy, comfortable life in Scotland. Both dogs exchange polite sniffs with my Labrador, and are slowly advancing to a game of "race me chase me"

Thank you Victor and all your staff you are so kind to animals. Thank you for all you do. I really appreciate it. I want to adopt but I live in the United States and it’s not feasible I’m a low income senior and so it’s too hard for me you know but I would love to have a small baby but I want to say to everyone there to have a very very merry Christmas and thank you again for everything you do.
