does walden arrange for your clinicals or partnered with hospitals to do your clinicals? or you have to find it on your own?

I’ve been researching FNP programs and I have set my heart on Walden. They have a direct entry for ADN RN- MSN FNP. And they said it would be cheaper because I get a discount on my masters portion since I would be obtaining my bachelors on the way and would be considered a Walden graduate. I already know about getting clinical placements I have been already looking around and asking. I’m so excited

Yes but rn to msn route first five courses isnt covered by grad aid right? Like youre not considered a grad student upon admission right?

Hi Bri, did you finish the program? Do you remember when they normally start the courses? How long does each class take? Are the start dates in jan, may, and august? How are people able to complete this program in two years? Are the summer courses shorter?

I received my BSN from Chamberlain. I applied to Walden for my NP because they don't have weekend travel. Chamberlain has mandatory travel and all expenses of student. Chamberlain is 9 hours from me.

Hi, thanks for the video. Very informative. I am on the 6th class and thinking to transfer also to Walden. Do they accept the first 5 core classes as transfer credit? Thanks again.

They don’t accept any classes that you don’t have a B in. I’m not sure specifically which classes they take and don’t. But the you may want to ask about core classes bc some of them I had to take over

To be honest there were books that we bought for courses you could study from, but honestly they offered nothing lol

Depends on the school and their requirements. Walden for transfer credits it has to be a B+ or higher i believe

How many courses do you take per semester for full time status?

I was taking two courses per semester. Our semesters were 11 weeks long

I am starting FNP in May 2021. from NJ. just a heads up. Walden is not very well respected in NJ. few of my friends are with Walden and having terrible time finding preceptors only because of Walden reputation.

Unfortunately I am almost done the program so thanks for the heads up but I dont really feel I’ll have a problem. Networking and my resume and things I’ve done will carry me far! But thank you!
