Professor Cool, professor emeritus would tell his followers not to barfine the girls in the clubs but instead get their info and meet them after work for a very large discount. He is very lucky that they only banned him and that he is still walking around alive. Getting rid of a problem is after all very cheap in A/C.

Dang...Viking is still open? Went there in the 80's. They were only one of 3 places that served cold beer and AC! Murphys and Maverick City were the other ones! So much nicer when the Americans and Aussies owned the bars!

Great video Po. As I have said many times on your channel, missed the memo where Korea defeated the Philippines in war and is now occupying their country. The story that you reported on is only about 60% correct. Wish I could tell you the rest of the story but can`t. Just like big news channels in the U.S. are fed a story and run with it. In the good old days we would take someone to Clark, put them in a plane and after clearing Philippino airspace, open the door and push them out. But today the world has become too woke and too soft.

Granted there obviously are some arrogant, ahole koreans there, it stands to reason that the PI stands to lose much more if it comes to a "tit for tat" [pun intended] boycott of one anothers countries. This would also include the PI losing out on the large Korean scuba and such tourism as well. it will blow over.

Todd, i doubt it, while the revenue at the bars for the city is really not so big. The tourist dollars being spent to get to the bars is HUGE. lets be honest, nobody comes here as a tourist for the food. Thanks for watching

Angeles, from what I've heard, tends to draw an unsavory crowd. My friend was taken there by another friend to meet 'easy' bar girls. The adverts he showed me had women scantily clad in swim suits, entertaining men at fancy hotels. Now, the reality may be different, but that's the image that gets planted in their heads. I've heard from other sources that, in general, Koreans do not have a high regard for filipinas. Again, have no firsthand experience with this.

All a terrible shame. (BTW, my wife is Filipina whom I met in HK). I first visited Angeles in 1997 and regularly returned since it is a short hop from HK and good for a weekend break. I liked Walking Street because in most of the bars I was never hassled by the bar-girls once I made it clear I was there simply to drink , play pool and have a good time. In recent years I have noticed a preponderance of South Koreans, both as customers and proprietors, and it's not a good look. Ultimately, the staff and the girls in the bars simply don't like the Koreans and their racist, superior attitudes. Maybe the authorities should rethink their policy regarding South Korean investment.

@@ourphilippinejourney I disagree, the Filipinas don't like the Korean management style, it certainly don't stop them going with Korean customers, who I have been frequently told are more generous than westerners. But then again bar girls often tell you what they think you want to hear.

I was station in Korea for 7 years. What we are witnessing is normal in some of the bars in Korea. Heavy handed treatment and tactics toward Filipina, Russian and a few Korea ladies in their employment. Superiority complex over anyone who is not Korean. Maybe Organized crime affiliation? resulting in Bribery and extortion? Whatever the situation the Filipino's local government has ignored what has been going. Until now at least. I just hope that handle this as a Korean bar situation and not an ever bar in Angeles's city situation.

If the Korean bar owner, and anyone else associated, that threatened of bodily harm or worse, intimidation, and all around thinking they are above the law should have their visa revoked permanently. They thought that since no one was stopping them they could do what they wanted. Seems like an investigation is warranted, and possible closures need to be made. All the bars should be routinely checked for permits and licensing.

The senator's name is Raffy Tulfo...who the heck is Tupelo. This is a very rare outcome for a bar to be close down not a common occurrence. Most bars get shut down for a variety of reasons but are soon up and going days later.

This is a very interesting video. Several things come to mind. First is that walking street thrives in darkness. When a spotlight is shown on walking street it is bad. In this case it may be disastrous. For those that don’t know, the Bureau of Immigration is currently cracking down on troublesome foreigners. So, for the foreigners involved this could not come at a worse time. As you said Raffy Tulfo is both a popular host of an investigative show and a sitting Philippine Senator. In other words he not only brings a spotlight but when he wants something or someone it pretty much is going to happen. To top it off he can bring this up in the Senate or even to the President. Even if he doesn’t it is getting walking street unwanted nationwide coverage. So it will be interesting to see where this leads. One arrogant foreigner may have brought down both himself and walking street. Time will tell. PS, it also shows what a pi**ed off Filipina is capable of.

Well, this is the hot topic for the weekend because everybody is covering it. Well, everybody within a 60-mile radius of Angeles City, that is. What comes out of all of this, nobody knows. It's all speculation and innuendo. Will the story move forward? If so will there be bureaucratic resistance? Is Raffy going to follow through? It looks good on TV, but if there is no follow-up on the story and the local municipality drags its feet on any investigation, then this is just rearranging the furniture, and it's all for nothing. If they do follow through, then can you assume that everybody's going to be looked at? Is it a good thing? Is it a bad thing? I don't have a dog in the hut, so I couldn't care less. However, if the government of the Philippines actually follows through on what was reported, then it's been a long time coming. Thanks for the story, Mike.

Many foreigners came to "Raffy Tulfo in Action" for help. Mostly came to him about being scammed by their "Filipina" girlfriend or Filipina virtual girlfriend. There was one Canadian, young, in his thirties who was scammed by a Filipina. He found out she was not what she looked like. Been sending her money. I forgot the whole story, but the end result was him getting compensation from Sen.Raffy. If you need immediate help you can come to him. Of course, you'd be on tv!

It will all blow over eventually but could get interesting for awhile. I too would like to know if foreign bar managers (from all countries) have proper visas/work permits. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the bars close down "for remodeling" for awhile until things settle down. Don't be surprised if the head of PNP station 4 gets reassigned. The PNP doesn't like bad publicity. I'm guessing the banned vlogger was letting his oddly shaped head get too big. 😆

They probably have fronts in "local names". Thats how organized networks operate. On paper the koreans do not own much. But in practical terms... they own most of it. And if a local, who is listed as owner etc, tries to scam the Korean organizations.... it will most likely be his worst decision in life (both for him and his family). They do not play "nice". They set examples when needed. So even though its in local filipinos/filipinas name, it really is not in practice.

In all honesty I can see the local government requiring local work clearance and photo ID with a badge number for all workers to be worn at all times while working on walking street. If they can do this in vacation spots, cabs, and ferry boat porters you can do it for sex workers and managers.

I gotta say it is funny to me as people said things like I "don't know how to ride a trike" and ignored what I was actually saying. Bad Expats, Korean, American, or other doesn't matter, when you center your business model on attracting the worst of many populations around the world to come for the young girls it is going to end badly! Steve, I have never seen one fight in the bar. After almost 10 years i have seen MANY stupid expats. Pissing in the street. Passed out on the sidewalk. Drunk and throwing up in the middle of the bar. And more than enough rude behavior in the bar. Thanks for watching

Have a Philippine Dr. friend who's brother worked for the Harbor Inspectors. When he went to work accordingly from what was said. They gave him his part of the bribe money. When he mentioned that he might not be interested in taking bribes it was pointed out to him he can make money or be found in the Harbor.... Just my guess unless he has loads of money and is buying everyone off. He will be dead quickly enough....

Just some helpful criticism. You tend to wander when you're reporting on something. You need to just stick to the subject matter which would be Viking Bar and it's owner. You wandered talking about the bar across the street and the little guy that regularly is seen down there.

Bruce, we see Leons buddy George often when we run to JJ in the afternoon early evening. It seems thats when he starts his walks. A lot of Leons footage is from George walking. George most often does not hold a recording device ( camera ). He wears a device from Telesin called a neck mount. It is simply a semi hard strap you wear around your neck that has a magnetic clip attachment for a gopro or action cam. He is not super obvious holding a camera , and I think the guy just didnt notice him and went to point and they sorta collide. But its weird it happened right by Bar na na. If the anti asian sentiment persist amongst the westerners continues to expand, the koreans bars WILL slowly move to korean town and just have exclusively koreans as customers, westerners welcomed but i don't think i would go into a bar with no English signboard, just asian scrip ..and then whats left on walking st???older bargirls and still complaining expats wishing the korean bars never left..😂

haha, their bars in AC are just not fun, they are fishbowls without the glass. Besides they are decidedly not welcoming to "westerners" as you say. They are openly hostile when you do venture in or passively aggressive in their service. When the dude next to you pays half the price for the same beer why order another?

LG, here is what i know....nothing. I dont know why, but heard many people say many things. With multiple people saying different things you dont know who to believe. But i would think it must be significant to get banned from all 9 of the wolfpack bars. Perhaps ABC will simply tell everyone. Thanks for watching

HAHA where in Angeles is the food that good? Even when there I find very few places above the edible rating and have yet to find any I would put in the spectacular category? Can you give me three must try dishes/restos in the area?

@ndyajeff Agree, Filipino food is a challenge for me also. The only place I've been to where I would rate the Filipino food a 8 1/2 is the Top of Cebu restaurant. Everything we ordered was above expectations. And no, it was not pricey.

Jeff, we personally find the selection, and presentation of food, in so many countries, far superior to the Philippines 99.8 % of the time. That being said simple basic foods are not hard to find here. However you really have to FIND it. Perhaps i am just too old and set in my ways. Things like a good cold cut sub here, almost impossible. A good pizza, sure it can be found, a great pizza is hit and miss from the same place from day to day. A good basic breakfast is pretty easy to find. Fine dinning for dinner is just very difficult and again is hit and miss. My wife cooks excellent filipino food, and good western food ( when she can get the correct ingredients ). We have come to accept the limitations of where we live and pretty much pick our dining experiences in Angeles based on service. We have specific restaurants that know us and treat us very well. Nothing free or anything like that but simply know when to keep the water glass full or a host of other little things. Good service, honestly makes average food much better. Excuse the long reply @ndyjeff.

Gizzii, when the comment is complaining about the product that nobody forces a person to watch , sure why not. If they dont like the product simply dont watch. When its constructive criticism then we pay attention to them. If they want to be argumentative or to debate their position then they can cam up live stream. We are far from professional videographers, nor are we the most perfect ( or even close ) people in the community. The one thing we are is the channel owner and we are far within our right to simply get rid of toxic people and toxic comments. Its a hobby for us.

Gizzz, Mods only have the ability to delete or ban when in live streams. Arlyn and i are the ONLY people with access to our account. In other words either YT is not posting your comment, or there is an issue on your end, or its always possible we deleted it and did not notice. That being said feel free to repost the comment. Keep in mind there are words we do not allow to be posted, BUT i just checked in the held comments ( which is where any YT held comments would be ) and we dont have any. We dont mind mature responsible outspoken comments if they pertain to the subject matter. Now I am interested to see the comment. Please repost it.

I wouldn't go anywhere near Walking Street. The History there is insane. Child Sex Trafficking comes to mind. Even when my Shipmates in the Navy were traveling there, I always refused.
