Real Information - A SCOTUS judge was found dead and no autopsy was performed. The body was already embalmed which means no toxicology reports can be done. With him being one of the most important people in the country (a SCOTUS judge), these FACTS are a problem. Who knows what happened and that again is a problem. Hopefully we learn from this and if a senator, congressman, or another SCOTUS judge passes away suddenly we investigate it a little further. I work in a hospital. When a patient dies we call the medical examiner. They ask a few questions. If there are no suspicious circumstances the ME "releases" the patient and calls it. Based on this they can determine if a autoposy is necessary. The ME does not need to see the body or do an autoposy to call it natural causes. I've had many patients that have much more complicated involvement and the ME often releases the patient. This is an open and shut case.

I would say, 79, overweight, inactive, and no surprise. The only thing bothering me is the lack of an autopsy---and the precise, pre-election timing. After all, he did not die in a hospital, which in most states automatically mandates an autopsy, and there are some sensitive issues recently brought before this Supreme Court that will have impact on Obama's power to use executive order. A simple autopsy would have made this a non-issue. Now it's a fertile field for conspiracy theories. Somebody bungled.

The obvious solution is to do an autopsy so that any murder could be pursued and prosecuted, and if it was natural causes then all parties can be protected from false accusations and conspiracy theories. It just seems like a no-brainer that someone of that much importance should have an autopsy - in fact I believe it should be law for individuals in positions like that.
