Not on a motorcycle but when i worked tire and lube at walmart had a older kia come in with no oil at all.

Only time I've had a clean oil filter was when someone did their own oil change forgot to put oil in it and drove it. They locked up the engine and had added oil afterwards and had it towed to the dealership.

I have the same fireblade on a 08 plate, the 2008’s are known to burn hella oil and also known issue is crank wine which used to be a recall on that but it’s now well gone, love the fireblade but so many issues on that year!

Chase has to confirm the order of removing the seat, battery and fairings. You think he could do a actual difficult job? His channel has become more of a comedy then him actually learning because brian does all the work while chase plays.

Long time Chase. New house looking good. Dry filter is either super bad oil pump which it should pump something even with no seal. My guess is a plugged oil galley.

Never taken off a dry oil filter. And on my RT it is right there on the bottom of the engine. I don't think the filter could be dry even if I hadn't started the engine after refilling the oil. Oh, and doughnuts? Spudnut ... good luck finding them though.

Love all the videos you guys make. They're fun, informative and overall well put together. I do have one question. @chaseontwowheels Why is audio so hard to manage? Especially in your WBR videos, the audio when you are talking compared to when the music is playing is a huge difference. I was real bored, so I measured how loud the audio was. When you were speaking it was at 60 db and when the music was playing it was at 74 db. In other words, an office to a vacuum cleaner.

@@chaseontwowheels There are other channels that have the same issue with volume levels between montage and talking to the camera. I don't post many videos (just stuff to share with the family) and I'm not dealing with multiple cameras & mics, so I don't know if that makes it exponentially harder.

How was the filter dry if there was oil in the motor never heard of that. maybe oil pump went bad and made the bike start to make noise and they thought changing the oil would help make the engine sound better but with a bad pump oil never cycled through the filter or engine

my guess about the oil filter (coming from someone who knows almost nothing about engines) someone rebuilt the motor, and installed the relief valve wrong so it was always open and the path to the filter was closed.

I have never taken the oil filter off and it was dry. The placement of the filter on my bike is on top of the motor so its a very messy job. But here in Cali Surfn' Donuts or Spudnuts are best.

2008's were NOTORIOUS for blowing engines. Had many problems with them burning oil, people said it was "add 1L per 100 miles"

Only for lack of maintenance or incomplete repairs. I.e. not cleaning the sump after smoking your clutch.

2008 Honda: We'll just put the battery under the seat like everybody else. 2018 Honda (Neo Sports Cafe line): Let's make it that the owner have to remove the seat, fairings, tank cover, and fuel tank to access the battery. It's not like the battery is something people need to access frequently right?

I just want to say this what if just what if....... This was a one person job...... Video shooting editing and engine analysis rebuild reassembly disassembly...... Mentally what a challenge physically a challenge.... What time span do you give within a 24-hour period on progress.... How far do you think you would have got along with real life infrastructure such as family friends bathroom activities..... And simple man's terms how far do you think you would have gotten one day if it was just one person job

My guess of what went wrong with the motor is somebody who didn’t know what they were doing..... attempted to do a oil change and got sidetracked and ran it without oil and burned up the oil pump. Then added oil and sold it.

Yes! And he is in the 5th season. There is no way he hasnt learned 1 thing and remembered it. He playing dumb episode after episode and season after season has gotten very annoying. Not to mention him becoming a sell out and moving the full build to a pay to watch website and now we only get summaries. Idk how brian doesnt get fed up with it

usually when you replace one part of the transmission, you replace all... chain, sprocket...
