Warriors (Warrior Cats) is a series of novels based on the adventures and drama of multiple Clans of feral cats created by Victoria "Vicky" Holmes. The reason why the deaths by drowning was so effective at showing Darktail's evil nature is how drowning encapsulates sheer desperation pretty much unlike any other death scene.

36:04 I’m so glad Moon says this about Tigerstar, I’ve seen so many people who have liked and only really remember his good dad side in the broken code say that he’s out of character in asc, but he absolutely is not, everything he is doing is completely in character and he’s so much more interesting when you realise that. Tigerheartstar and questionable morality have gone hand in hand since day one. He literally pulls a very similar stunt with the Sisters as he does RiverClan.

My guess is that Icewing is actually gonna be the next leader, and that Frostpaw actually misread the first sign. Sure the first time she saw the sign she saw a curled feather, but as she looked at the feather again after sniffing the air she wondered if she could see "a faint frosty glitter at the very edges" of the feather. The 2nd time she saw the sign she saw feathers around the moonpool then they took to the sky and became birds whirling around her head LIKE A BLIZZARD. Both signs posted towards ice on a wing or birds flying around like a blizzard. It feels like to me that Icewing is gonna be the next leader. I hope I am right.

That's also my little tinfoil hat theory, and at first it was something that I didn't think was actually going to happen but the third book looks like it's going to place some focus on Icewing so maybe it will. The other thing that points to this being the case in my opinion is the fact that the feather was white and not brown. Curlfeather is a brown cat, if the sign really was talking about her you would think StarClan would use a feather colored like Curlfeather.

Ooh I really like your interpretation and theory. I get a little doubtful the feathers were a true Starclan sign since Frostpaw found them in the physical real world, so anyone could have planted them there. But regardless I really love Icewing and would be thrilled to see her officially become leader or even deputy ^w^

@@littlebluecomet Once RiverClan eventually gets sorted out and has a leader and deputy again, Icewing is definitely my top pick for leader, though I'd definitely settle for her being deputy, and story-wise Shimmerpelt would be great as deputy, I'd image Icewing and her as leader and deputy would have something of a Tallstar-Mudclaw dynamic

Especially considering the few time Shimmerpelt had spoken she’s been critical of Owlnose’s leadership and I think was def not a fan of Tigerstar’s takeover. I love Harelight as a choice too, but I think Riverclan would probably not approve of having the two previously exiled cats as leaders side by side :0

important to me everyone knows that icewing is owlnose's grandma and frostpaw's great grandma, as well as one of the riverclan cats darktail imprisoned and one of the riverclan cats who volunteered to help retrieve skyclan. also she seems to consistently be very sneaky and good at tricking antagonistic forces into thinking shes loyal to them before betraying them and fighting on the protagonists side (she lied to mapleshades FACE in the last hope AFTER beetlewhisker got killed presumably right in front of her)

@@littlebluecomet oh the mapleshade bit is so good, she pulls a bunch of cats that are looking freaked out aside at a dark forest gathering and is like "dont let them see youre afraid or theyll kill you" and mapleshades like "what r u talking abt" and shes like "teehee we're just planning our strategy ^_^ our clanmates trust us so we have an advantage"

It's exceeding my expectations so far. They remembered that Icewing and Harelight spent time in ShadowClan AND that Tigerstar and Icewing both trained in the Dark Forest. Icewing is outwardly supporting Tigerstar but also making sure to tell Duskfur that they may be able to fight and win another time, so if we do end up with RiverClan divided into those two factions Moonkitti mentioned, it will be believable if a bunch of cats side with Icewing. I'm glad Tawnypelt reached out to Nightheart (disappointing as it is to not actually see the conversation). That scene with Finchlight, where she does care but words things horribly, is great. And if you look at the Clan politics right now, it kind of makes sense that ThunderClan are collectively clinging to their glorious past. They're not the powerful Clan that helps out the others anymore. Now Tigerstar and Leafstar seem like they're vying for the position (with different methods) and the other Clans must have noticed that Squirrelflight has to be decisive for Bramblestar now. Best of all, they actually gave Sunbeam a realistic reaction to Nightheart showing up in ShadowClan without telling her his plans and putting her on the spot by declaring his love for her to her Clanmates. I don't even mind how she defended him to Berryheart because even that feels very real. Ever get into an argument with someone unreasonable and just not wanted to bother talking about the nuances of the situation because you feel like you're not going to get anywhere either way? That's the vibe I got.

I just read Shadow yesterday and it blew my mind on how good it was with the plot twists that hits you from out of nowhere 🤯. I think this is the best book in the franchise since Arc 4. I can't wait to read Thunder in November. This is a Spoiler Warning for anyone who see this that hasn't read the book yet. #1) Night/Sun (This is still a thing to the haters of this relationship and Sunbeam actually left her clan at the end of the book to be with Nightheart) #2) Splashtail probably murdered Reedwisker. Also the sign Reedwisker gives to Frostpaw shows the murderer knew him and the message "There is darkness in Riverclan and it's closer than you think". That put Splashtail up there as a major suspect (He acts so suspicious in this book in my opinion so keep your eye on him) #3) We learn why Berryheart act the way she dose. (I still hate her character though.) #4) Bramblestar finally steps down after encouragements from Nightheart and Squirrlflight becomes Squirrlstar in the next book (Squirrlflight fans this is your dreams come true. I'm a Bramblestar fan though since his character has been through so much in the last 5 Arcs we knew him.) #5) Berryheart and her group of cronies are working with Splashtail and his group of cats to try and get rid of Shadow clan from Riverclan's territory. #6) I think Splashtail tried to murder Frostpaw in Windclan's territory at the end of the book because she got to close the truth on who killed Reedwisker. (This is another thing that makes him so suspicious since he is the only cat beside Frostpaw that knows her vision of Reedwiskers Murder.) This just my theory #7) I think there was going to be a coup in Riverclan but it failed.

5:50 we did know that Berryheart was almost drowned and escaped thanks to her manga scene in Tigerheart’s Shadow that most people forget about, the only reason I remember is because I saw someone do a video on her

I feel like the Erins have been setting up nightheart and sunbeam’s relationship as too fast and too perfect. Like a convenient easy was out for nightheart that neither of them realize isn’t really love. My (ridiculous) hope is that they will try to be together, but realize it’s not meant to be but either stay close friends or pretend to be mates so that nightheart can stay or spy on the inside or something, and sunbeam will realize that the reason she doesn’t love nightheart is because she loves lightleap instead, and that she wasn’t jealous of lightleap but blazefire. Lol if the Erins only dared

Comparing this book to where things were at the same time during the previous arc, it's a complete 180, we know absolutely nothing, and iam not really sure how to feel about it. It's great that the Erin's are keeping things mysterious, almost like they knew we all were aware of who bramblestar's imposter was, and to keep us all guessing, unless tigerstar 2.0 will be the "villan" of this arc?, but I doubt it, iam still expecting our girl Mapleshade to return. Need more berryheart, she's awesome, the authors are actually developing a character not related to firestar or tigerstar, I can't believe it. Anywho, not a whole lot of complaints from me, iam enjoying the arc so far, it sorta feels like a new era for the series, the code changes, next generation of characters finally taking the spotlight, and just a different vibe from the last several arcs, hopefully Shadow continues to entertain. My personal wish list for this arc in general is for the Erin's to continue to develop more characters, just like their doing with berryheart, and lightleap as well, she's quite entertaining, keep building the new generation up, and have the old gaurd be less of a focal point, and finally, make ivypool leader. Iam done complaining about bramblestar, I just want ivystar, with nightheart as her deputy.

Honestly the excerpt is looking really good. From Berryheart becoming more of an interesting character with awesome potential to the weirdness of a male character's love for someone being actually addressed. I too, breathed a sigh of relief seeing that Sunbeam was acknowledging the fact that she never consented to any form of relationship with Nightheart, and that she barely even knew him. It honestly made me really happy, because it gave me a little bit of hope that NightSun won't be endgame, and that Nightheart's probably gonna get called out on his nonsense in this book or one in the near future!

It’s good that the Erins have made the books a little less as predictable as some other arcs were some are a little to predictable in my opinion otherwise this new arc is a completely new outlook that The Erins have created there tons of ways the series could go with the right writing and a new fresh perspective of how the Warrior Code has changed.

Regarding the prologue discussion when it comes to Berryheart almost getting drowned by Darktail, I'm pretty sure that actually got shown in the short comic at the end of Tigerheart's Shadow, which was from her PoV as well. So it was technically something we've already seen just getting described in more detail from her perspective once more.

OK but I really really hope for Nightheart and Frostpaw interactions because they have lot to relate to 🥰 Dead fathers, mothers who had push expectations onto them they feel they can't live to. Clan being in danger why they're still apprentices. I think that could help him grow as a character to find someone who understands. Also give us him actually addressing his trauma, because since they remembered icewing and all maybe they remembered that Nightheart was both threatened by Imposterstar to Sparkpelt AND judged angerly by his clan for being Kin to Firestar. (Thornclaw? Literally glared at him for no reason then being mad that Lionblaze was temp deputy) Just 😭 he has a story to explore, you don't have to make up other stuff for him to be struggling. Also the fact only things he learns about his father is from his grandmother. He never gets to learn about how his mom and father were really like together. And I hope they have him bring that up. Because I think part of his frustration is that he feels his mom talks more about Firestar then she does about his father. That she doesn't even mention she might be upset he changed his name cause that's all he had left of his father was their shared voice in names. She never really mentions his father, to him when she said family it definitely made him think she meant Firestar because she never talks about his father. Even if she can't cause she's still mourning, HE doesn't know that. And I really hope he realizes that could be part of it. Please someone give this cat a father figure 😭

Yes!!! This whole time I’ve been dying to see her become Riverclan’s next leader, and her being appointed as in charge by Tigerstar felt so rewarding hehe. It’s interesting too tho seeing how much of a divide her leadership is causing due to her time in Shadowclan, makes me think she won’t be placed in a permanent leadership position but one can hope! 🤞

I just finished reading it today, i got it a few hours ago, and *Major Spoilers* OMG IT WAS SO GOOD! I love that bramble stepped down, and Frostpaw probably died (i didn't like that part as much, but it was still good), also I think splashtail might have killed frost and reedwhisker. I'm sad that SunxNight might happen though.

I do wonder what Icewing and Frostpaw talked about (if they did even manage to talk at all). It’ll be interesting to see how this Riverclan plot comes to a head. Book 2 really only had an advancement in that Frostpaw finally considered that Reedwhisker and Curlfeather’s deaths may have been intentional (and that was really only because Fidgetflake mentioned something offhandedly about it). I’m hoping that it doesn’t take until Book 4 for us to finally get something out of it.

Maybe it's just me but I honestly top of the drowning and a vision of Shadows was a lot more traumatic than the generals throat-slashing. It just really resonated with me I guess.

Perspectives I really want to see that we never get are villain, Starclan, and dark forest. I want one of the characters to be an active antagonist or an involved viewer in Starclan

I have six kittens that is ready to be named, so I've decided to name them using the warrior cats naming system from dawn of the clans, so they would have the warrior names even though they are kit's, I thought it would be fun to come up with the first part of each kid's name and then post a comment on all the KZfaqrs that I'm subscribe to that mostly talks about warrior cat books and let whoever wants to come up with the second part of the name, then me and my family as well as the family's that some of the kit's will be going to when they are older (who also loves the warrior cats series and thought this would be fun too) if you have any names Just please comment them down below, I'll let everybody know what names was picked, they are three gray tabbies one girl and two boys, the last three kit's are solid black females, the names that have been chosen for the gray tabbies are Sage, Basil, and Shade, for the black kit's Ebony, Juniper, and Raven. Shade also have some black on the back, and Ebony is the smallest of all of the Kit's, thank you and sorry for any mistakes that might be in this post, I'm in the middle of doing something, if there's any questions please don't hesitate to ask.🐱

ngl, nightheart is my favorite main character of this arc so far, but mostly from my own headcanons about him and the potential he has going forward. knowing the writers, im sure they'll fuck it up in spectacular fashion. but for now hes my pathetic little meow meow with all the grouch of jayfeather and none of the competence

I don't want to brag, but most of you guys didn't focus on so many topics such as: 1. Bramblestar acting strange 2. Who Riverclans next leader would be 3. The prolouge of Sky and why Mistystar and Reedwhsiker couldn't talk to Frostpaw 4. The murder mystery of Reedwhisker and Curlfeather 5. Duskfurs seek for power 6. The Tribe of Rushing Water being involved 7. The warrior code changing again Its always how the third book of every warrior cats arc always takes a step up and creates more tension and I hope Shadow would be a big one like Shattered Sky.

I think it be interesting if, even if temporarily, joined riverclan. Because Riverclan is the only clan that doesn't have some form of popular legacy expected to them in any of their cats. That died with Misty and Reed. TC has Firestar SC has Tigerstar1 and Dovewing and Shadowsight who have their own stuff going on. SKC has the general legacy of being the lost clan and Hawkwing being the son of the late Deputy. As well as Tree and his role. WC why not as obvious has Onestar's legacy with Heather and her kits. And the legacy of not only Ashfoot but Deadfoot as well left in their son who is now Deputy himself. Mistystar had no other living kits other then Reedwhisker. And Reedwhisker had none of his own. Her line is done and there isn't any other legacy that the other clans would care about. Only personal ones. Which I think could speak to Nightheart more. Because in a way I think he puts himself under his own legacy of his father, or at least to know him. I think in that way he would relate to Frostpaw. Losing their fathers young, having this expectation that they don't feel they live up to. Both imposed by their mothers. Curlfeather pushed on Frostpaw she was special. Sparkpelt always encouraged the pride of being Firestar's Kin. Never even mentioning to Nightheart that his name was chosen by both her and his father when she was upset he changed it. I think it be interesting to see how he could learn and relate to with Frostpaw. How they could help eachother with their own traumas. Nightheart with Imposterstar's riegn and disconnection from his mother and her family. And Frostpaw with lost of her parents,leader and Deputy and now take over of her clan. I know they might not but it would be so cool to build their characters 😭

Goddamn are we really that close to the next release? ETA: my biggest and only theory is that Frostpaw is the leader Etaa: I feel like squirrelflight was done a huge disservice with the apprentice tasks. She was literally in the spot Nightheart thinks he was in. Aka the deputy using apprentice takes to punish you. She could have sat him down and actually talked to him about it, but nope. She's just a bully And all the other things she does is basically a side effect of Nightheart being pulled into her toxic mess with brambleclaw.
