I wish people on any of the WL shots would understand, just because the Dr says you should take a higher dose just because “ it’s been a month or two”. I’ve been on 2.5 for 4 months and is still working for me. I listen to my hunger cues instead of listening to what people think I should do. Why would people take a higher dosage if they really don’t need it. people need to understand once they get to the highest dosage there’s no going higher.

I base myself on how the clinical trial went. And how much I need to lose. plus how I am responding. If you review those studies yes 2.5 lost weight over 72 weeks but it was not at the same rate or as much as the other doses did. If you don't have that much to lose anyway you likely should not even be on these

I kinda expected it the same week at my autoimmune injection. But yes loss is good and it was not muscle! so 💪🏻

I've been on Mounjaro for 7 months now my dosage is 10 you have to work out it's not just taking the shot.

that what this entire video is about. I was shocked how many ppl on the ww zoom thought they should just keep on eating like they were eating and not worrying about muscle mass at all

Mix 1/4 cup with 1 cup cottage cheese. I mix 1 tablespoon each holy basil and ground flax to add food for my microbiome. I lost 140 pounds in 13 months on keto and Aqua jogging, but at 61 now it was SLOWLY creeping back.

I had lost and was still losing until all of a sudden all my joints starts POUNDING and I think the more weight that came off my autoimmune got worse somehow ... it was rough. Now I'm having to really make sure I take my AS treatments or the pounding comes back and it's hard to move all over again. So the gain I get from those... the zepbound is the only thing helping with that!

Thank you very much! I appreciate your sharing your experience on this journey. I also have been doing keto and carnivore for about 3 years but have Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and chronic fatigue. I lost about 60 lbs but then started gaining. The endocrinologist pushed me to change from Armour thyroid (natural medication) to synthroid, but in less than 2 months the thyroid antibodies went up almost by 50%. I come from a pharmaceutical background also, and worked in regulatory affairs with an immunology group so have been looking at the prescribing information for all of these products and they all have the boxed warning about the possibility of thyroid problems. I am now baffled that that endocrinologist even offered me these medications because we are tracking a nodule on the thyroid. I will certainly be watching for more information - and hopefully I will be able to make a good decision on whether to consider this.

I was OK Armour thyroid which is a t3 medicine. Dr's have been slowing removing ppl from t3 meds and placing them on t4 levothyrozine/synthroid for about 6 years now. I started gaining weight while they messed with my thyroid meds. then when I went to a new Endo they took me off completely to see what my levels were. And my thyroid levels looked the best they ever have. So I have not gone back on them. But my weight gain comes from autoimmune treatment biologics that OF COURSE have 0 mention of weight gain even though my gaining coincides with each of them perfectly. Smh. But yes research yourself bc no one else is going to do it for you. Dr's just want to prescribe and move on. Most Dr's never even look at my chart

So much helpful info! Thank you! I completed my 4 th week, called for refill and was told the drug is now backordered. I'm holding my breath for resolution, as food noise is back with a vengeance. I hope i don't fall off the rails.

yes I am not looking forward to being told my dosage is on backorder ! bc I am progressing and I think ppl who come off and then try to go back on it at the higher doses are more likely to have issues /side effects randomly. I hope they get their supply figure out soon

This was a great plug for weight watchers and completely filled with misinformation. There is no way you have worked for a pharmaceutical company and able to say with a straight face that PCP’s are getting a kickback for prescribing particular medications.

I worked in pharmaceutical manufacting and was in global plasma ops for years. Before that I worked for one of the top cancer treatment centers in America AND my 1st job was working with physician offices that were under hospital ownership. Have you never seen drug reps that their sole purpose is to go into Dr offices to try and push Dr's to prescribe whatever their drug company latest drug is? every office I ever went to had multiple drug reps coming in giving coupons, "merch", they used to give Dr's tickets to concerts and about 10 years ago they also took them on trips. And yes large monetary kickbacks for prescribing a certain Drug. You need to watch some of the Netflix specials on Oxycodon if you think this is NOT a common practice for drug reps to do this. I never worked on that side. I was in the facilities MAKING the drugs. But witnessed it on the clinical side everywhere I worked. We additionally had to run supplier reps off of the property in manufacturing trying to give manufacturing and engineers kick backs for ordering their products for production. Thats why all outside contacts had to go through supply chain bc this is illegal, and still widely done. There is 100% a reason why my Dr's office hands me a coupon to certain medicines and don't even give options for what drug the patient wants to take, or other options. My own Dr office runs a "weightloss clinic" that is supplied the drugs to use on patients in their office paying them cash upfront. If you think otherwise you should educate yourself more. Why would pharma companies have "drug reps" circling territories to push their drugs out more to be prescribed over others. 😉 Most ppl never question it and just use whatever their Dr tells them to. I have lived in multiple states and every Dr wants to change my medications to some other brand. For what? why? Everything else in my video is literally studies linked to this post for people to go reference for themselves. Maybe I should link "PainKiller" on Netflix or "Dopesick" on Hulu for reference of how drug companies utilize reps to control PCPs.

Im in pharmacy and the kick backs used to be great for us i can’t imagine how good they are for doctors. And so what it great advertisement for ww. I use ww it’s great. They take care of all the red tape for you.

@@jenf836I know I can only imagine what a lot of them get! And yes WW has found a way to include a financial team aspect and care team to locate the drugs that my normal physician office cannot even respond to a portal message for 2 weeks lol

I start my shots tomorrow March 18. I find it so strange - this week I’ve had a change in my stool and am having indigestion……strange. I must live under a rock because I just heard about these shots about 3 weeks from a friend - I signed up where she goes. I regret not knowing that WW has a program for this type program.

Yes there are clinics here for this that cost $ to join. Even my internal medicine Dr runs a weight loss clinic and it's $300 out of pocket just for the 1st appointment. My endocrinologist was only going to follow up with me every 4 months and the clinical trials and lilly dosage guidelines state every 4 week evaluation. WW in my opinion is going it correctly! they touch base with me every week and in my next video I'll cover some of the new guidance I got from the care team!

I'm starting zep this week and I want to track where I do the injection, what side effects I had, how much I lost, etc. Is there a form/tracker that you are aware of?

Yes I have a few :/ I had Embark for Embrel tracking, Complete for Humira Tracking and Medisafe now for cosentyx. Bc I log my cosentyx to track where I injected I also do tirzepatide. I'm an android user. But you can also always track on your phone calendar too to be simple.

My question is this- on any diet I’ve been on I’ve lost and gained weight. Even with this shot will that happen if i stop it? Will i have to be on it for as long as i want to stay at my weight ? That’s my main concern. I’m worried that being on any med for a long time isn’t super good for you. Thoughts?

I have a scale I have tagged in the caption. I went iver it in week 1 and q videos as well. it measures 13 different items I believe. it tells me my breakdown of types of fat, water, muscle, bone etc

You mean to use the app? or to speak to a Dr? what aspect do you mean. To have access to the nutritionist and workout schedule? LMK! I'll try and find out for you for sure. In later videos I have a discount for just the WW app in general as well
