I did the same thing once on a beetle too. Took me like.. 50 attempts? And a chunk of my sanity.. xd

The visual bubbles on the checkpoints are a little deceiving sometimes. They're all visually the same size, but the actual hitboxes of the checkpoints are all manually programmed and different sizes. I've just spent enough time on this track to know which checkpoints I can skim the edges of, and which I can't.

ther is also a problem with lag, and how it can afect the timekeaping. It happend to me in gendaran field when ppl wer fighting the anomaly and i got 30seconds shorter time than i actualy did it in.

I definitely need some RnR of my own. Beetle racing has taken a toll on my pinky finger and all because my stupid brain thinks that pressing the drift key harder means I'll drift harder... or something like that.

I would say to check out some guild halls. There are a few guild hall tracks which are beginner friendly that I can recommend. If you join the [RACE] discord, you can ask to join some guilds to race on the tracks. I'd recommend checking out [GDT] and [GUIA].

in case it wasn't clear, i was talking about how you're always doing these small drifts even on smooth paths to keep endurance up without relying so much on the vigor skill cooldown, that's some real art there :)

@@mininukes4ever Oh no, I drift so much because it's literally faster to drift than to not. Normally, the beetle's max speed is 1800 units per second (99 on my speedometer), but while drifting this gets increased to 2500 units per second (137 on my speedo). Also if you watch my speedometer carefully, you'll notice that on some drifts I am accelerating rather than decelerating as one would normally expect. Though it is a bonus, the extra endurance gained from drifting is not the reason I'm drifting so much.

I'd recommend checking out my guide on normal drifting if you haven't already. Drifting is a fundamental aspect of beetle control so it's important to get that down.

Another important aspect is boost timings. Especially when you're just starting out, learning to time your boosts to get the most out of them is very important. Don't just boost as soon as it recharges. It's often better to hold off on a boost until after a turn, as you'll be able to carry the speed for much longer than if you boost beforehand. Boosting out of a drift is also generally advised, since normal drifting slows you down.
