Gears and Gasoline

It's been almost 2 years since we introduced the Legacy GT Wagon to the channel, and unfortunately not much progress has been made. On the last episode, we got the engine running! However, there's a lot more electrical issues than I originally thought, and after Andrewtech Automotive evaluated the car, it had to be completely stripped and re-wired. On top of the mechanical issues, I had titling issues. Sometimes, you just have to know when to walk away...

The tip of the hat to the Forester was an awesome way to close. I started watching this channel with the road trip series, and knowing what the Forester accomplished after all this is a good salute to what would have been an awesome Legacy build.

So close but so far. I really enjoyed the legacy series. I actually owned an 05 2.0GT touring wagon that I shipped in from Japan. The previous owner customised damn near every part the car and it was an absolute treat to drive (and oh so bad on gas haha). Unfortunately had to sell it. It's sad seeing this car die. It was honestly the reason I found this channel. I hope you get another legacy in the near future and continue the cars...legacy!

Thank you for giving us closure on this project. In fact I'm someone who appreciates when someone tries to finish what they started. However I should be very blunt, I tend to finish the project regardless of all the set backs on the pretense that I "shall" finish the build and achieve the goals I wanted to on the project. I'm not discrediting you for giving up on the build but I personally believe if you had that churning gut feeling to not give up on this old lady...then she'd have rewarded you dearly ;) Regardless, @Ben Thorn, it's good to see you put a wrap up on this series. Thank YOU! ;)

I was excited for this project/build, but sometimes these things happen. Please do not be so hard on yourself bud, you are NOT a failure in my eyes; if anything, you were smart to know when to throw in the towel. Title issues plus water damage are twin nightmares that each, on their own, can be difficult to surmount. The two compounded together was just bad luck on your part. Looking forward to new content on the Forester, and it gives me ideas of my own on things to build/do! We all had the same moments as this. Me and my dad bought a 190 2.0 that has a lot of goodies and ready for a daily driven. We had plans to keep it for the rest of our lives. Sadly the car grew older and the fuel regulator almost cost $500 for a brand new one. Even more problems showed up as we found out the floor pan is rusting bad (just so you know we live in a tropical country). We decided to sell the 190e which was painful but we ended up something better and practical. We bought a first gen CRV with only 70km mileage and that car lasted for 6 years in the fam.
