I hope this video inspires you to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and keep going! You are so STRONG, and I am so proud of you. When the days get rough and you just want to give up, know that this community of people is here for you. But most importantly JESUS is here for you.
Even if you don’t struggle with a chronic illness, I hope that this video reminds you to be kind to yourself in all areas of your life because you are doing your best. I hope it shows you that no matter what trials you are facing that maybe it’s for a reason. A reason that we might not understand in the moment.
I don’t have all the answers or all the perfect ways of communicating this message, but I hope you guys can understand where I’m coming from.
I truly always want to hear from you guys so if there’s any way I can pray for y’all let me know in the comments! I pray we may all heal one day.
❤️ Elsah

Thank youuu for continuing to share your testimony and how you stay positive through illness! God is so so good! I was really struggling with some autoimmune issues and weight management and acne which was so so dark for me. I kept praying and asking for change and I had to wait on it and I always say “God, I don’t always understand but I trust you” and that has been game changer! Such a positive platform! God bless!

Woaw. It’s probably the first time I can relate that much to a video. I suffer from gastroparesis since 2019, and I have the celiac disease + egg allergy. (it looks like my digestive system doesn’t want to cooperate 🙃) My gastroparesis got a lot worse these past few months, and it has been incredibly hard. Constant nausea, stomach pain, eating a meal but not knowing when I’ll be able to have the next one, major weight loss leading to incredible fatigue. Some days I can’t even stand up. My life started to basically revolve around my digestive health, and my goals (I’m a cello student) seem sometimes so far from what I’m experiencing in my daily life that I can’t comprehend what’s the meaning of all that. I’ve also realized that food is such an important part of our social life. Eating out with friends simply became associated with anxiety : will I be able to eat or will I be nauseous at lunchtime ? If I eat, will I be able to digest it, or else I won’t be able to attend my afternoon classes ? Your video touched me a lot, and we can feel that you really put your heart and soul into it. Thank you because it gave me encouragement, and it’s good to see that someone can understand what I go through. And if it can help you, know that i can relate to every single thing you talked about ! (Long and difficult diagnosis, some periods with less symptoms giving you hope, but then suddenly very bad again, leaving you with unanswered « why »…) I pray for your healing Elsah. Let’s trust God’s plan, He will use our suffering and turn it into something beautiful ! 🙏 And let’s be strong together 😉❤️‍🩹

I cannot tell you how touching this is just to hear from you. Thank you for sharing your story in such an honest and vulnerable way. I am so happy that you could find some comfort in this video. What you’ve had to endure is so awful, but you are SO strong and brave. I can just tell in your words! You have such a good attitude, and the Lord has blessed you with such a gentle and kind spirit. I know so many other people will find encouragement in what you have said here! You will always be in my prayers, Victoria. ❤️‍🩹

Aw I’m so glad to hear that! Well thank you so much for watching ☺️ Ooh for skincare I’ve just been using Ivory bar soap to wash my face and body. And then Proactive (the 3 steps) once a day for my face. Other than that I use Glossier’s moisturizer if my face gets dry. Hope this helps!

@elsahluan
@elsahluan 11 ай бұрын
@@wendyarch332 For shampoo I alternate between Head & Shoulders and weirdly enough Dawn, like the dishwashing soap! I have pretty oily hair so it works great for me. But I don’t recommend that for everyone since it can dry out your hair. For conditioner I use JOICO ☺️ No, I have not experienced that myself. So that’s an interesting observation! I hope that gets better though.

Can you do more videos about your sibo journey? I think you explained it perfectly in this video and the other one about how we feel having sibo and how we see the rest of the world/healthy people. I've had it for 4 years now, only symptoms are extreme gas and bloating 24/7 and I've been trying different diets and medicine and will be doing a long strong course of herbals after I finish 2 rounds of Xifaxan unless it helps which it prob wont bc nothing helps. Right now im on carnivore diet but with fruit bc I did carnivore for 5 months and it didnt help at all. Its good to hear about other peoples experience with sibo. But what are you doing to get rid of it? Have you tried a more limited diet, or herbals, or xifaxan?
@elsahluan
@elsahluan 7 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! I appreciate you watching! Ahhh I’m so sorry to hear you’re also experiencing these frustrating symptoms. I did do antibiotics once to treat the SIBO, and I’m currently on an herbal. Honestly I’ve just been able to manage it through being somewhat strict with my diet. If I know there are problematic foods, I just won’t eat them or I’ll try to eat a very small bit of it.
@elsahluan
@elsahluan 7 ай бұрын
I also only eat 3 times a day, as I’ve heard that for people with SIBO, the less that some motor complex in the stomach has to sweep all the food, the better. But that also means I have to eat quite a bit at each setting since I don’t eat snacks 😂

It’s so hard, trying to cook for my husband and follow a low fodmap diet. Also have celiac and other IBS and gut issues. The hardest part for me is preparing meals. I can deal with all the fatigue and pain and other issues, I have for so long. It’s nearly impossible to eat out, and my husband doesn’t eat many different things anyways, only beef for meat, (no meat alternatives either). Any ideas? Thanks your story is inspiring for me.
@elsahluan

Oh my goodness that sounds so tiring. I’m sorry you have to go through this. So it’s only you that suffers from gut issues, not your husband? That is a struggle that I imagine having if I have a family one day. Yeah I’m right there with you I cannot eat out at all. So if my friends want to go anywhere I always have to pack a meal with me. It does make it so hard to do things… I’m so happy my story could be inspiring for you! That makes me so happy 🥹 Meal ideas are tricky. I usually just stick with meats and veggies. Maybe some sweet potatoes and a healthy dessert. I’m very plain and simple 😂

Hi! How did you deal with malabsorption? I'm low in b3, b6, b9 and b12 vitamins and don't know what to do.
@elsahluan
@elsahluan 6 ай бұрын
Ahhh yes malabsorption… it’s such a tricky issue to deal with because everything you eat essentially just leaks out of you. Sorry you’re also battling that! I believe I am low in the b vitamins as well. Did you do blood work for that? I’ve been seeing my doctor and she gave me this supplement called ION gut support. I ordered it off of Amazon. I think this has helped seal up the micro-holes in my small intestine. Things aren’t perfect but they’re much better than they used to be! Ultimately fixing a leaky gut is a long process, so if you have a doctor you can talk to about it, developing a plan of action is key. Unfortunately it can take a very long time to help. I’ve also looked into the possibility of doing the autoimmune diet, as some people have said it’s helped heal their gut from things like this. But I haven’t had the time in school to commit to that 😭😂

@elsahluan yeah it's rough. I actually did the stool test for gut health on thorne which suggests v vitamins are low. I have been trying to do the vitamin tests too but they don't offer them near me and quest is 24 mins away...I do have sibo right now so I can't even drive that far :/ but as soon as I start feeling better (doing the low fodmap diet with candibactin) I will go and get tested
@elsahluan
@elsahluan 6 ай бұрын
@@mariananikolopoulou534 oh okay that makes sense! Yes I’ve done so many stool samples in my life 😂 I think I’ll try to do some more blood work over the winter break to check certain vitamin levels. There have been symptoms I’ve experienced that seem to indicate a deficiency in the B vitamins-such as cracked corners of the mouth and mouth sores. But I pray you will be able to get more answers and feel better soon! We’re in this together friend 🫶🏼💕💕💕
