Shawn, you overwhelm me with your dedication to breeding these beautiful puppies. Thank you for sharing this information with all of us. I once thought I might breed my dog, once she is ready to breed, but I want her more as a companion. My life is lonely right now as I sit in my home every day. I want to treat her as a child and give her all my love!!! Thank you!

I cringe every time someone complains about the cost to adopt a quality (first class) dog like the one’s you produce. I much rather pay the price on the front end-rather than in the vet’s office for a sickly poorly bred dog. I figure if you divide the price on the front end divided over 10-15 years of the pups life, of pure pleasure and entertainment, owning a quality healthy fur-love-it really isn’t bad pricing At ALL.❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️ 🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️ I wish all breeders were as excellent as you are in care of breeding.😘

Wow Shawn great information. Thank you for sharing this information. I have a DNA testing question. In general, does DNA/genetic testing identify the propensity that a puppy could have ACL leg issues in the future? I was wondering if that is genetic defect that could be bred out by identifying dogs that should not be bred. One of my Havanese has ACL issues on both back legs and I was wondering if it could be genetic. The breeder I got him from did not do DNA testing. You live and learn.

I have not had issues with this in my dogs so I asked in a breeder's group that I am part of to see what they know about this. When I get answers I will share what I learn. Thank you for asking.

Hello OrganicGal, I've asked this question in a few places to see what I can learn. I've been told that ACL issues in legs are often environmental and can not be tested on a DNA Test. However an OFA x-ray can identify if a dog has issues with legs and hips. If so then don't breed those dogs that have issues. Thus far none of my dogs have had ACL issues. So what this means for me is that little dogs for example should not be jumping too high or off things that are very high. My goal with all my dogs is if they did not jump up themselves then they are not to jump down. I also got "sofa stairs" recently and they are all loving them because they can go up and down on their own even when I am not on the sofa with them.

Hi Julie, last year was not my first year as a breeder. I wanted to share this video because it is important for people to understand the real costs in becoming a breeder. Also, some people have shared that my prices are too high for puppies and I thought it would help them to understand that what it takes to be able to offer a 10 year Genetic Health guarantee and all the other things that come with my puppies costs me money. My prices are not the cheapest for a puppy because I am providing them with so much more than many breeders do. Thank you for watching and being along this journey with me.

These dogs are simply too expensive now, found a breeder with a great reputation. Picking up my new puppy soon, CKC Female for $650 and he gives full breeding rights. People paying $1K, 2K or up for a dog is just crazy. Most breeders clip their own tails and give shots.

Hi Joseph, I'm so glad you found what you are looking for! Hopefully you confirmed that the parents are DNA tested and clear for known issues, and that the puppies are home raised (not on concrete floors all the time) and well socialized so they will make the transition to your home smoothly.
