I got this question about trying to change or fix or help a narcissist spouse, and I wanted to answer it because I think it applies to anyone who has a close relationship with a narcissist. We often think narcissism is something that we can control or have power over, or perhaps if we just do better we can somehow figure out how to manage a narcissistic relationship or narcissistic spouse. Let's talk about narcissism - everything from what is narcissism, to what are narcissistic qualities, to what can you do if you're feeling close or dating or married to a narcissist. The truth is that this person may not even be an actual narcissist, so it's important to understand what narcissism is before we try to understand how to be in a relationship with a narcissist.
