The Astrodome is a Texas Landmark thats being preserved as is for now. All NFL playoffs & Super Bowls the roof on retractable stadiums are always closed no matter the weather.

Ford Field is pretty underrated. That stadium has aged incredibly well, probably one of the best aged venues in sports.

The Saints and NFL will keep the Superdome going for as along as they can. No way it gets replaced unless they have to. Ford Field will probably get a big renovation in the next 10 years. NRG and State Farm are still 10-15 years out from their first big renovations. None of these are at risk of replacement.

Cardinal’s stadium is great. No idea what he is talking about I have been to a few events there. I enjoy seeing a game there much more than seeing a game at the Rams stadium.

The idea of a retractable roof was briefly discussed and looked into a few years ago when Detroit was seeking a MLS franchise. I don't believe the roof with its setup/design could be converted into a retractable roof. A report came out saying so. What I'd like to see is, if possible, replace the end zone frosted window panes with a door wall type of set up similar to what Minnesota, Indianapolis, and Las Vegas have. If that's not an option, still replace but with newer technology the ETFE material. This is a great stadium and you don't realize it seats over 65,000 with the way it was designed. Not a bad seat in the house.

Humidity in Glendale AZ? 19% on average... anything into Oct and that roof can be open without a problem. Hell, 100 degree heat is not bad simply because of the lack of humidity... Houston gets humidity.. We are so dry here it's not funny.

NRG is a nice stadium I work there and fans from other cities tell me all the time how much they like it especially the concourse is big you have a lot of room to walk not a bad seat in the stadium the roof used to be open a lot but when they took the grass out and put field turf they keep it closed mostly the last time they had it open was 2021 for 4 games it looks so much better with the roof open but nfl want let the Texans open the roof if it’s over 80 degree and that’s the main reason it’s hardly open

As a Titans fan who goes down to Huston every other year from Nashville to see the Titans play the texans. I can say nrg is one of the nicest stadiums I've ever been to next to the superdome and U.S bank stadium. Also, the Astrodome is a national landmark, not a dump.

Who needs “natural light” for these games?… Games are much easier to watch on TV and clearer when the the roofs are closed and lights are turned on.

I wonder what DG thinks about Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Indianapolis Colts. It was built shortly after State Farm Stadium and like the other domes mentioned has been a Super Bowl host. Also, if the Astrodome is keeping its historical landmark status it should be renovated into a tourist attraction with stadium tour options. At least it could be put to good use and not be an expensive eyesore.

The superdome really needed to upgrade it's electrical infrastructure. It was really embarrassing to have the power go out during a Superbowl.

You are wrong about my nest, State Farm Stadium! The roof is open during November-January games. It has to be 75 degrees or cooler here in the Phoenix area for it be open. Go Cardinals! It is a very awesome stadium to see a game at!

If the Saints were to get a new stadium, it would most certainly be either a translucent or retractable roof so it could continue to host Super Bowls.

As a team follower in the NFL south that plays the Saints at NO each year, there is no doubt that the lighting in the Superdome is horrible.
