Aside from the branding it looks exactly like my Terrafirma guard. But my guard is a 8mm alloy instead of 6mm steel. No need for fancy powder coating.

i would love to see you guys add a light bar or spot lights and show the process of wiring it in and installing the lights , the wipac 100w look really good as a spot light option !!!

spots are classic, light bars are more Chelsea tractor. sorry if anyone has a bar and isn't from Chelsea that's just my opinion. I personally have 2 LED work lights on the rear. I don't have a purpose for front facing spots.. @@hdsg8361

jack Martin they look so cool don’t need any other reason to not have a set of 4 spots on the top , I’m thinking of getting a g4 roof rack and 4 spots very soon

haha, you're not wrong there. I just have other ideas. I would like to stage2 remap my 90 with stormtuning as Liam has done. I do have a roof rack which is a basic flat rack designed for tents.. but I use for easier loading and non restricted load size the g4 is limiting in that respect with the raised rail surround. no doubt I will end up with spots on mine also just not a priority yet. @@hdsg8361

The uproar 4x4 steering guard is stainless so even when the paint comes off it’ll never rust

if the coating is based on what I think it is then it will have claimed protection but a impact scratch deep enough to expose bare steel will show signs corrosion but not creeping corrosions to weaken the guard unless excessive damage. suggest repair with undersea spray ?

Hi Guys it's me again, Here in England people used to use leather bags with a drawstring closure (similar to the item, on-screen, with the screws & other small hardware inside)as purses to carry their money in. I believe Robin Hood used to carry one. I hope this helps.....Great Video. Bye, Ian.

Love the Brit humor from the invoice, but the pakaging looks more like a hamster cage----- tis though a great bit of kit...Keep this stuff coming guys. All the best withe rest of the rebuild-

I must be mistaken... did we just witness Nisse sniffing a 'bolt' sack? ;) Great introduction from O.R.E. Concise and complete destructions for all fitting applications! Products looks grouse and very easy to fit. It will be interesting to see how the coating holds up over time. Cheers Liam and Nisse for sharing.

Steering guard fitted and looking epic, note though that the package was very beaten up despite only being within UK, and some of the paint is already scratched, I hope the corrosion resistance is as good as they claim or I don't think it will last.

Developing such a sophisticated powder coating seems overkill at first glance? The approach from many of the companies in South Africa like Frontrunner has been to make the plate from 6 to 8mm aluminium which essentially will not rust. What would the advantages of this approach with steel and this powder coating be? I'm intrigued why they have gone this route.

Hi Richard, Aluminium corrodes (a form of rusting, for non-ferrous metals!) under similar circumstances to iron rusting. 2mm extra thickness would offset some corrosion & compensate somewhat for the loss of strength but is more expensive & most people paint or powder-coat them anyway!!!! Very nice steering guard! Great addition to your vehicle 👍unfortunately a standard steering guard won't fit to my defender because of the big bull bar I have, wonder if they make different variants? I'd be happy to test a steering guard for ORE here in Africa😉

Its custom made similar to a TJM/ARB deluxe bar but the winch mount on it covers the two front ends of the chassis preventing the top part of a standard steering guard fitting properly

Just buy an uproar 4x4 one. Little more expensive, but are stainless steel. Strong as hell and will last forever. No need to muck about with developing a fancy powder coat. 🤷🏻♂️

Some parts don’t even look that great fresh out of the box, poor quality and do not fit properly when new. Some companies and indeed suppliers should be called out for shoddy service!

They definitely don’t package them like this anymore, mountains of single use plastic and no instructions.🤷♂️ it’s not rocket science to fit it, but a thanks for buying our product or a sticker would have been nice. Guess they have reached the size where the personal touch is not worth the effort.

Hi @Jabber1974, thanks for your comment. We no longer include instructions in the box because they are emailed to the customer along with some useful videos as we have had better feedback than the older-style wordy instructions. We also changed from straw to plastic very early on as customers had complained about the mess from opening the boxes and selling steering guards overseas was causing us issues due to the regulations around plant-based products being exported (i.e the straw packaging).
